预言之灵 卷4(1884)E

第19章 开启和关闭的门
§1 第十九章 开启和关闭的门
§2 Chapter 19—An Open and a Shut Door
§3 圣所的题目乃是一把钥匙,将失望的奥秘开启了,显明上帝一直在伟大的复临运动中指引祂的子民。它使人看出一部有系统而彼此关联互相符合的真理,并说明上帝子民的地位和工作,藉此向他们指出他们当前的本分。{4SP 268.1}
§4 The subject of the sanctuary was the key which unlocked the mystery of the disappointment, showing that God had led his people in the great Advent movement. It opened to view a complete system of truth, connected and harmonious, and revealed present duty as it brought to light the position and work of God’s people. {4SP 268.1}
§5 1844年,复临信徒在他们盼望救主复临的时间过去之后,仍相信主的降临已近。他们以为自己已经临到了一个重大的转机,而且基督在上帝面前为人类作中保的工作已经停止了。他们既已传扬审判近了的警告,便觉得自己为世人所作的工作已经作完了,他们就不感觉自己还有责任去拯救罪人,同时那些不信上帝的人大胆的亵渎和讥诮使他们觉得这是又一个凭据,证明上帝的灵已经从那些拒绝祂恩典的人身上收回了。凡此一切,使他们越发深信,人类的宽容时期已经结束了,正如他们当时所说的,“恩典之门已经关闭了。”(见附录注释六)。{4SP 268.2}
§6 After the passing of the time of expectation, in 1844, Adventists still believed the Saviour’s coming to be very near; they held that they had reached an important crisis, and that the work of Christ as man’s intercessor before God, had ceased. Having given the warning of the Judgment near, they felt that their work for the world was done, and they lost their burden of soul for the salvation of sinners, while the bold and blasphemous scoffing of the ungodly seemed to them another evidence that the Spirit of God had been withdrawn from the rejecters of his mercy. All this confirmed them in the belief that probation had ended, or, as they then expressed it, “the door of mercy was shut.” [See Appendix, note 6.] {4SP 268.2}
§7 但他们在查考圣所题目的时候,得到了更清楚的亮光。基督在《启示录》中对这一个时期的教会所说的话,这时他们才看出其中的用意:“那圣洁,真实,拿着大卫的钥匙,开了就没有人能关,关了就没有人能开的,说:我知道你的行为,……看哪,我在你面前给你一个敞开的门,是无人能关的”(启3:7-8)。这里既关了一扇门,也开了一扇门。在1844年二千三百日的终点,基督的服务从圣所转移到至圣所。在地上圣所的崇祀中,当大祭司于赎罪日进入至圣所的时候,圣所的门就关闭了,至圣所的门则敞开了。照样,当基督从天上的圣所进入至圣所的时候,圣所的门关闭了,至圣所的门敞开了。门代表服务。基督已结束了祂作我们中保职务的一部分,而开始了另一部分;祂仍在天父面前为罪人呈上祂的血。祂宣布说:“看哪,我在你面前给你一个敞开的门,是无人能关的”。{4SP 268.3}
§8 But clearer light came with the investigation of the sanctuary question. Now was seen the application of those words of Christ in the Revelation, addressed to the church at this very time: “These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth; I know thy works; behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” [Revelation 3:7, 8.] Here an open as well as a shut door is brought to view. At the termination of the 2300 prophetic days in 1844, Christ changed his ministration from the holy to the most holy place. When, in the ministration of the earthly sanctuary, the high priest on the day of atonement entered the most holy place, the door of the holy place was closed, and the door of the most holy was opened. So, when Christ passed from the holy to the most holy of the heavenly sanctuary, the door, or ministration, of the former apartment was closed, and the door, or ministration, of the latter was opened. Christ had ended one part of his work as our intercessor, to enter upon another portion of the work; and he still presented his blood before the Father in behalf of sinners. “Behold,” he declares, “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” {4SP 268.3}
§9 在耶稣执行赎罪的伟大工作时,只有本着信心仰望祂进行赎罪工作的人,才能领受祂为他们作中保的帮助;而那些拒绝这使他们明白此种服务工作之亮光的人,却得不到帮助。那些拒绝基督第一次降临时所发的亮光,又不肯相信祂是世人之救主的犹太人,未能靠祂得蒙赦罪。当耶稣升天,带着自己的血进入天上的圣所,为祂的门徒作中保求福的时候,犹太人却仍留在黑暗之中,继续进行他们那无用的献祭与供奉。那属于表号和影像的崇祀已经停止了。先前可以通到上帝面前的门也已关闭了。犹太人已经拒绝那寻见上帝的唯一方法,不肯藉天上圣所的崇祀去寻求祂,故此他们无法与上帝交通。对于他们,那门是关着的。他们既不承认基督为真正的牺牲和在上帝面前的唯一中保,便不能得到祂为他们作中保的帮助了。{4SP 269.1}
§10 Those who by faith follow Jesus in the great work of the atonement, receive the benefits of his mediation in their behalf; but those who reject the light that brings to view this work of ministration, are not benefited thereby. The Jews who rejected the light given at Christ’s first advent, and refused to believe in him as the Saviour of the world, could not receive pardon through him. When Jesus at his ascension entered by his own blood into the heavenly sanctuary to shed upon his disciples the blessings of his mediation, the Jews were left in total darkness, to continue their useless sacrifices and offerings. The ministration of types and shadows had ceased. That door by which men had formerly found access to God, was no longer open. The Jews had refused to seek him in the only way whereby he could then be found, through the ministration in the sanctuary in Heaven. Therefore they found no communion with God. To them the door was shut. They had no knowledge of Christ as the true sacrifice and the only mediator before God; hence they could not receive the benefits of his mediation. {4SP 269.1}
§11 从前不信之犹太人的景况,说明那些故意不明白我们慈悲大祭司之工作的许多挂名基督徒所有粗率和不信的态度。在表号性的崇祀中,当大祭司进到至圣所的时候,以色列全会众都要聚集在圣所的附近,以极庄严的态度在上帝面前存谦卑的心,以便得蒙赦罪,而不至从民中被剪除。在这实际的赎罪日上,我们岂不更当明白我们大祭司的工作,并知道主所要我们尽的本分是什么!{4SP 270.1}
§12 The condition of the unbelieving Jews illustrates the condition of the careless and unbelieving among professed Christians, who are willingly ignorant of the work of our merciful High Priest. In the typical service, when the high priest entered the most holy place, all Israel were required to gather about the sanctuary, and in the most solemn manner humble their souls before God, that they might receive the pardon of their sins, and not be cut off from the congregation. How much more essential in this anti-typical day of atonement that we understand the work of our High Priest, and know what duties are required of us. {4SP 270.1}
§13 人若拒绝上帝慈悲的警告,就必不能逃罪。在挪亚的时代,上天曾发给世人一道警告。他们的得救与否全在乎他们怎样看待那道警告。他们既然拒绝,上帝的灵就从犯罪作恶的人身上收回。结果,他们便在洪水中灭亡了。在亚伯拉罕的时代,所多玛城的居民恶贯满盈,上帝的慈悲就不再恳劝他们了,结果,除了罗得和他的妻子与两个女儿之外,全城的人都被从天上降下的火所烧灭了。基督的时代也是这样。上帝的圣子向当时不信的犹太人宣告说:“看哪,你们的家成为荒场,留给你们”(太23:38)。这位无穷大能的主展望到末日的情形,便宣告说:世人“不领受爱真理的心,使他们得救,故此,上帝就给他们一个生发错误的心,叫他们信从虚谎;使一切不信真理,倒喜爱不义的人,都被定罪”(帖后2:10-12)。他们既拒绝了上帝的道,上帝便收回自己的圣灵,听凭他们随从自己所喜爱的欺骗。{4SP 270.2}
§14 Men cannot with impunity reject the warnings which God in mercy sends them. A message was sent from Heaven to the world in Noah’s day, and their salvation depended upon the manner in which they treated that message. Because they rejected the warning, the Spirit of God was withdrawn from that sinful race, and they perished in the waters of the flood. In the time of Abraham, mercy ceased to plead with the guilty inhabitants of Sodom, and all but Lot with his wife and two daughters were consumed by the fire sent down from heaven. So in the days of Christ. The Son of God declared to the unbelieving Jews of that generation, “Your house is left unto you desolate.” [Matthew 23:38.] Looking down to the last days, the same infinite power declares, concerning those who “received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved,” “For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” [2 Thessalonians 2:10-12.] As they reject the teachings of his word, God withdraws his Spirit, and leaves them to the deceptions which they love. {4SP 270.2}
§15 但基督现今还在为人类代求,所以祂要赐亮光给那些寻求的人。复临信徒当初虽然没有看明这一点,但及至那说明他们真实处境的经文向他们展开之后,他们就明白了。{4SP 271.1}
§16 But Christ still intercedes in man’s behalf, and light will be given to those who seek it. Though this was not at first understood by Adventists, it was afterward made plain as the scriptures which define their true position began to open before them. {4SP 271.1}
§17 1844年的定期既过,那些坚持复临信仰的人便临到一段严峻的考验时期。就他们的真实处境而论,他们唯一的安慰,就是那引导他们的思想转向天上圣所的亮光。如前所述,复临信徒短时间内曾一致相信恩典的门已经关闭了。不过他们很快就放弃了这种立场。有一些人不再相信自己先前对于预言时期的算法,并且把复临运动所呈现的圣灵大能的感化,归之于人或撒但的作为。但还有一等人却坚信他们过去的经验乃是主所引导的,因此他们便等待,儆醒,祈求,要明白上帝的旨意。结果他们看出他们的大祭司已经进入救赎工作的另一阶段。他们便凭着信心跟从祂,于是也看明了教会最后的工作,并且预备好了,可以接受《启示录》第十四章第三位天使的警告,并把它传给世人。{4SP 271.2}
§18 The passing of the time in 1844 was followed by a period of great trial to those who still held the Advent faith. Their only relief, so far as ascertaining their true position was concerned, was the light which directed their minds to the sanctuary above. As has been stated, Adventists were for a short time united in the belief that the door of mercy was shut. This position was soon abandoned. Some renounced their faith in their former reckoning of the prophetic periods, and ascribed to human or Satanic agencies the powerful influence of the Holy Spirit which had attended the Advent movement. Another class firmly held that the Lord had led them in their past experience; and as they waited and watched and prayed to know the will of God, they saw that their great High Priest had entered upon another work of ministration, and, following him by faith, they were led to understand also the closing work of the church, and were prepared to receive and give to the world the warning of the third angel of Revelation 14. {4SP 271.2}
