*Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

* 耶10:2 耶和华如此说：你们不要效法列国的行为，也不要为天像惊惶，因列国为此事惊惶。

*Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

* 耶10:3 众民的风俗是虚空的；他们在树林中用斧子砍伐一棵树，匠人用手工造成偶像。
§6
*For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
§7
* 耶10:4 他们用金银妆饰他，用钉子和锤子钉稳，使他不动摇。
§8
*They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

* 耶10:5 他好像棕树，是旋成的，不能说话，不能行走，必须有人抬着。你们不要怕他；他不能降祸，也无力降福。

*They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

* 耶10:6 耶和华啊，没有能比你的！你本为大，有大能大力的名。

*Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

* 耶10:7 万国的王啊，谁不敬畏你？敬畏你本是合宜的；因为在列国的智慧人中，虽有政权的尊荣，也不能比你。

*Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.

* 耶10:8 他们尽都是畜类，是愚昧的。偶像的训诲算什么呢？偶像不过是木头。

*But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

* 耶10:9 有银子打成片，是从他施带来的，并有从乌法来的金子，都是匠人和银匠的手工，又有蓝色紫色料的衣服，都是巧匠的工作。

*Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.

* 耶10:10 惟耶和华是真上帝，是活上帝，是永远的王。他一发怒，大地震动；他一恼恨，列国都担当不起。

*But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

*Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

* 耶10:12 耶和华用能力创造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张穹苍。

*He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

* 耶10:13 他一发声，空中便有多水激动；他使云雾从地极上腾；他造电随雨而闪，从他府库中带出风来。

*When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

* 耶10:14 各人都成了畜类，毫无知识；各银匠都因他雕刻的偶像羞愧。他所铸的偶像本是虚假的，其中并无气息，

*Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

* 耶10:15 都是虚无的，是迷惑人的工作；到追讨的时候必被除灭。

*They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

* 耶10:16 雅各的分不像这些，因他是造作万有的主。以色列也是他产业的支派，万军之耶和华是他的名。

*The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

* 耶10:17 受围困的人哪，当收拾你的财物，从国中带出去。

*Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.

* 耶10:18 因为耶和华如此说：这时候，我必将此地的居民，好像用机弦甩出去，又必加害在他们身上，使他们觉悟。

*For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.

* 耶10:19 民说：祸哉！我受损伤；我的伤痕极其重大。我却说：这真是我的痛苦，必须忍受。
§40
*Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.
§41
* 耶10:20 我的帐棚毁坏；我的绳索折断。我的儿女离我出去，没有了。无人再支搭我的帐棚，挂起我的幔子。
§42
*My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

* 耶10:21 因为牧人都成为畜类，没有求问耶和华，所以不得顺利；他们的羊群也都分散。

*For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

* 耶10:22 有风声！看哪，敌人来了！有大扰乱从北方出来，要使犹大城邑变为荒凉，成为野狗的住处。

*Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

* 耶10:23 耶和华啊，我晓得人的道路不由自己，行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。

*O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

* 耶10:24 耶和华啊，求你从宽惩治我，不要在你的怒中惩治我，恐怕使我归于无有。
§50
*O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.
§51
* 耶10:25 愿你将忿怒倾在不认识你的列国中，和不求告你名的各族上；因为他们吞了雅各，不但吞了，而且灭绝，把他的住处变为荒场。
§52
*Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.
