* 箴5:1 我儿，要留心我智慧的话语，侧耳听我聪明的言词，

*My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

* 箴5:2 为要使你谨守谋略，嘴唇保存知识。

*That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

* 箴5:3 因为淫妇的嘴滴下蜂蜜；她的口比油更滑，

*For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
§8
* 箴5:4 至终却苦似茵陈，快如两刃的刀。
§9
*But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

* 箴5:5 她的脚下入死地；她脚步踏住阴间，
§11
*Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
§12
* 箴5:6 以致她找不着生命平坦的道。她的路变迁不定，自己还不知道。

*Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

* 箴5:7 众子啊，现在要听从我；不可离弃我口中的话。

*Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

* 箴5:8 你所行的道要离她远，不可就近她的房门，

*Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

* 箴5:9 恐怕将你的尊荣给别人，将你的岁月给残忍的人；
§19
*Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
§20
* 箴5:10 恐怕外人满得你的力量，你劳碌得来的，归入外人的家；
§21
*Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;
§22
* 箴5:11 终久，你皮肉和身体消毁，你就悲叹，
§23
*And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

* 箴5:12 说：我怎么恨恶训诲，心中藐视责备，

*And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

* 箴5:13 也不听从我师傅的话，又不侧耳听那教训我的人？

*And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

* 箴5:14 我在圣会里，几乎落在诸般恶中。

*I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
§30
* 箴5:15 你要喝自己池中的水，饮自己井里的活水。

*Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

* 箴5:16 你的泉源岂可涨溢在外？你的河水岂可流在街上？

*Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

* 箴5:17 惟独归你一人，不可与外人同用。

*Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.

* 箴5:18 要使你的泉源蒙福；要喜悦你幼年所娶的妻。

*Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

* 箴5:19 她如可爱的麀鹿，可喜的母鹿；愿她的胸怀使你时时知足，她的爱情使你常常恋慕。

*Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

* 箴5:20 我儿，你为何恋慕淫妇？为何抱外女的胸怀？

*And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

* 箴5:21 因为，人所行的道都在耶和华眼前；他也修平人一切的路。

*For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
§44
* 箴5:22 恶人必被自己的罪孽捉住；他必被自己的罪恶如绳索缠绕。

*His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

* 箴5:23 他因不受训诲就必死亡；又因愚昧过甚，必走差了路。

*He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
