*Elihu spake moreover, and said,

* 伯35:2 你以为有理，或以为你的公义胜于上帝的公义，

*Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

* 伯35:3 才说这与我有什么益处？我不犯罪比犯罪有什么好处呢？

*For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

* 伯35:4 我要回答你和在你这里的朋友。

*I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.
§9
* 伯35:5 你要向天观看，瞻望那高于你的穹苍。

*Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

* 伯35:6 你若犯罪，能使上帝受何害呢？你的过犯加增，能使上帝受何损呢？
§12
*If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

* 伯35:7 你若是公义，还能加增他什么呢？他从你手里还接受什么呢？

*If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

* 伯35:8 你的过恶或能害你这类的人；你的公义或能叫世人得益处。

*Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

* 伯35:9 人因多受欺压就哀求，因受能者的辖制（原文作膀臂）便求救，

*By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

* 伯35:10 却无人说：造我的上帝在哪里？他使人夜间歌唱，

*But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

* 伯35:11 教训我们胜于地上的走兽，使我们有聪明胜于空中的飞鸟。

*Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

* 伯35:12 他们在那里，因恶人的骄傲呼求，却无人答应。

*There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.
§25
* 伯35:13 虚妄的呼求，上帝必不垂听；全能者也必不眷顾。

*Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
§27
* 伯35:14 何况你说，你不得见他；你的案件在他面前，你等候他吧。

*Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

* 伯35:15 但如今因他未曾发怒降罚，也不甚理会狂傲，

*But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

* 伯35:16 所以约伯开口说虚妄的话，多发无知识的言语。

*Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
