*Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

* 伯8:2 这些话你要说到几时？口中的言语如狂风要到几时呢？

*How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

* 伯8:3 上帝岂能偏离公平？全能者岂能偏离公义？

*Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
§7
* 伯8:4 或者你的儿女得罪了他；他使他们受报应。

*If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
§9
* 伯8:5 你若殷勤地寻求上帝，向全能者恳求；
§10
*If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
§11
* 伯8:6 你若清洁正直，他必定为你起来，使你公义的居所兴旺。
§12
*If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

* 伯8:7 你起初虽然微小，终久必甚发达。
§14
*Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

* 伯8:8 请你考问前代，追念他们的列祖所查究的。

*For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

* 伯8:9 我们不过从昨日才有，一无所知；我们在世的日子好像影儿。

*For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

* 伯8:10 他们岂不指教你，告诉你，从心里发出言语来呢？

*Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?

* 伯8:11 蒲草没有泥岂能发长？芦荻没有水岂能生发？

*Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?

* 伯8:12 尚青的时候，还没有割下，比百样的草先枯槁。

*Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.

* 伯8:13 凡忘记上帝的人，景况也是这样；不虔敬人的指望要灭没。

*So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

* 伯8:14 他所仰赖的必折断；他所倚靠的是蜘蛛网。

*Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.

* 伯8:15 他要倚靠房屋，房屋却站立不住；他要抓住房屋，房屋却不能存留。
§30
*He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.

* 伯8:16 他在日光之下发青，蔓子爬满了园子；

*He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.

* 伯8:17 他的根盘绕石堆，扎入石地。

*His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.

* 伯8:18 他若从本地被拔出，那地就不认识他，说：我没有见过你。

*If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.

* 伯8:19 看哪，这就是他道中之乐；以后必另有人从地而生。
§38
*Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
§39
* 伯8:20 上帝必不丢弃完全人，也不扶助邪恶人。
§40
*Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
§41
* 伯8:21 他还要以喜笑充满你的口，以欢呼充满你的嘴。
§42
*Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
§43
* 伯8:22 恨恶你的要披戴惭愧；恶人的帐棚必归于无有。
§44
*They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
