* 伯5:1 你且呼求,有谁答应你?诸圣者之中,你转向哪一位呢?

*Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?

* 伯5:2 忿怒害死愚妄人;嫉妒杀死痴迷人。

*For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.

* 伯5:3 我曾见愚妄人扎下根,但我忽然咒诅他的住处。
§7
*I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
§8
* 伯5:4 他的儿女远离稳妥的地步,在城门口被压,并无人搭救。
§9
*His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
§10
* 伯5:5 他的庄稼有饥饿的人吃尽了,就是在荆棘里的也抢去了;他的财宝有网罗张口吞灭了。

*Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

* 伯5:6 祸患原不是从土中出来;患难也不是从地里发生。

*Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

* 伯5:7 人生在世必遇患难,如同火星飞腾。
§15
*Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.

* 伯5:8 至于我,我必仰望上帝,把我的事情托付他。

*I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

* 伯5:9 他行大事不可测度,行奇事不可胜数:

*Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
§20
* 伯5:10 降雨在地上,赐水于田里;
§21
*Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:

* 伯5:11 将卑微的安置在高处,将哀痛的举到稳妥之地;
§23
*To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
§24
* 伯5:12 破坏狡猾人的计谋,使他们所谋的不得成就。
§25
*He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
§26
* 伯5:13 他叫有智慧的中了自己的诡计,使狡诈人的计谋速速灭亡。
§27
*He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
§28
* 伯5:14 他们白昼遇见黑暗,午间摸索如在夜间。
§29
*They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
§30
* 伯5:15 上帝拯救穷乏人脱离他们口中的刀和强暴人的手。
§31
*But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

* 伯5:16 这样,贫寒的人有指望,罪孽之辈必塞口无言。

*So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
§34
* 伯5:17 上帝所惩治的人是有福的!所以你不可轻看全能者的管教。

*Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

* 伯5:18 因为他打破,又缠裹;他击伤,用手医治。
§37
*For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
§38
* 伯5:19 你六次遭难,他必救你;就是七次,灾祸也无法害你。
§39
*He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
§40
* 伯5:20 在饥荒中,他必救你脱离死亡;在争战中,他必救你脱离刀剑的权力。
§41
*In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
§42
* 伯5:21 你必被隐藏,不受口舌之害;灾殃临到,你也不惧怕。
§43
*Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
§44
* 伯5:22 你遇见灾害饥馑,就必嬉笑;地上的野兽,你也不惧怕。
§45
*At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
§46
* 伯5:23 因为你必与田间的石头立约;田里的野兽也必与你和好。
§47
*For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
§48
* 伯5:24 你必知道你帐棚平安,要查看你的羊圈,一无所失;
§49
*And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
§50
* 伯5:25 也必知道你的后裔将来发达,你的子孙像地上的青草。
§51
*Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
§52
* 伯5:26 你必寿高年迈才归坟墓,好像禾捆到时收藏。
§53
*Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
§54
* 伯5:27 这理,我们已经考察,本是如此。你须要听,要知道是与自己有益。
§55
*Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
