*After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.

* 伯3:2 说：愿我生的那日和说怀了男胎的那夜都灭没。

*And Job spake, and said,

*Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night in which it was said, There is a man child conceived.
§7
* 伯3:4 愿那日变为黑暗；愿上帝不从上面寻找他；愿亮光不照于其上。

*Let that day be darkness; let not God regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
§9
* 伯3:5 愿黑暗和死荫索取那日；愿密云停在其上；愿日蚀恐吓它。

*Let darkness and the shadow of death stain it; let a cloud dwell upon it; let the blackness of the day terrify it.

* 伯3:6 愿那夜被幽暗夺取，不在年中的日子同乐，也不入月中的数目。

*As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.

* 伯3:7 愿那夜没有生育，其间也没有欢乐的声音。

*Lo, let that night be solitary, let no joyful voice come therein.

* 伯3:8 愿那咒诅日子且能惹动鳄鱼的咒诅那夜。

*Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to raise up their mourning.

* 伯3:9 愿那夜黎明的星宿变为黑暗，盼亮却不亮，也不见早晨的光线（原文作眼皮）；

*Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it see the dawning of the day:

* 伯3:10 因没有把怀我胎的门关闭，也没有将患难对我的眼隐藏。

*Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.

* 伯3:11 我为何不出母胎而死？为何不出母腹绝气？

*Why died I not from the womb? why did I not give up the ghost when I came out of the belly?

* 伯3:12 为何有膝接收我？为何有奶哺养我？

*Why did the knees prevent me? or why the breasts that I should suck?

* 伯3:13 不然，我就早已躺卧安睡，

*For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

* 伯3:14 和地上为自己重造荒邱的君王、谋士，

*With kings and counsellors of the earth, which build desolate places for themselves;

* 伯3:15 或与有金子、将银子装满了房屋的王子一同安息；

*Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:

* 伯3:16 或像隐而未现、不到期而落的胎，归于无有，如同未见光的婴孩。

*Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants which never saw light.

* 伯3:17 在那里恶人止息搅扰，困乏人得享安息，

*There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.

* 伯3:18 被囚的人同得安逸，不听见督工的声音。

*There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor.

* 伯3:19 大小都在那里；奴仆脱离主人的辖制。

*The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master.

* 伯3:20 受患难的人为何有光赐给他呢？心中愁苦的人为何有生命赐给他呢？

*Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul;

* 伯3:21 他们切望死，却不得死；求死，胜于求隐藏的珍宝。

*Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;

* 伯3:22 他们寻见坟墓就快乐，极其欢喜。

*Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?

* 伯3:23 人的道路既然遮隐，上帝又把他四面围困，为何有光赐给他呢？

*Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

* 伯3:24 我未曾吃饭就发出叹息；我唉哼的声音涌出如水。

*For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.

* 伯3:25 因我所恐惧的临到我身，我所惧怕的迎我而来。

*For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

* 伯3:26 我不得安逸，不得平静，也不得安息，却有患难来到。

*I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
