第13章 晚雨
§1 第13章 晚雨
§2 Chapter 13—The Latter Rain
§3 把圣灵的工作比作雨
§4 The Work of the Spirit Likened to Rain
§5 “祂必为你们降下甘霖,就是秋雨、春雨”(亚10:1;珥2:23)。东方的早雨是在播种季节降下的。为了使种子发芽,必须有早雨。在滋润土地的雨水影响之下,柔嫩的新芽破土而出。晚雨是在季节快结束的时候降下,催熟谷物,预备好收割。主利用这些大自然的这些运作来代表圣灵的工作 (亚10:1,何6:3,珥2:23,28)。{LDE 183.1}
§6 “He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain.” In the East the former rain falls at the sowing time. It is necessary in order that the seed may germinate. Under the influence of the fertilizing showers the tender shoot springs up. The latter rain, falling near the close of the season, ripens the grain and prepares it for the sickle. The Lord employs these operations of nature to represent the work of the Holy Spirit. [See Zechariah 10:1; Hosea 6:3; Joel 2:23, 28.] {LDE 183.1}
§7 正如露珠和雨水首先赐下,使种子发芽,然后使谷物成熟,照样,圣灵的赐下,亦是要循序渐进地推展属灵的成长过程。谷物的成熟,代表上帝在心灵中恩典工作的完成。借着圣灵的能力,上帝的完美形象得以在品格上完成。我们要完完全全地改变成为基督的样式。{LDE 183.2}
§8 As the dew and the rain are given first to cause the seed to germinate, and then to ripen the harvest, so the Holy Spirit is given to carry forward, from one stage to another, the process of spiritual growth. The ripening of the grain represents the completion of the work of God’s grace in the soul. By the power of the Holy Spirit the moral image of God is to be perfected in the character. We are to be wholly transformed into the likeness of Christ. {LDE 183.2}
§9 使地上庄稼成熟的晚雨,代表那使教会为人子的来临作准备的属灵恩典。若不降下早雨,就不会有生命,生出绿色的苗叶。早雨若不做成它们的工作,晚雨就不能带来丰满的子粒。--TM 506 (1897). {LDE 183.3}
§10 The latter rain, ripening earth’s harvest, represents the spiritual grace that prepares the church for the coming of the Son of man. But unless the former rain has fallen, there will be no life; the green blade will not spring up. Unless the early showers have done their work, the latter rain can bring no seed to perfection.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 506 (1897). {LDE 183.3}
§11 A.对历史上整体教会的应用
§12 A. The Historical Application To the Church as a Whole
§13 早雨于公元31年五旬节降下
§14 The Early Rain Came in A.D. 31 at Pentecost
§15 门徒遵照基督的吩咐,在耶路撒冷等候着天父的应许,就是圣灵的沛降。但他们并非无所事事地等候着。圣经记载说,他们“常在殿里称颂上帝”(路24:53)。……{LDE 184.1}
§16 In obedience to Christ’s command, they [the disciples] waited in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father—the outpouring of the Spirit. They did not wait in idleness. The record says that they were “continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.” (Luke 24:53).... {LDE 184.1}
§17 当门徒等候应许实现的时候,他们谦卑地悔改,承认自己的不信。……门徒极其诚恳地求上帝使他们有资格去救人,使他们在每日与人交往时能说出合适的话来引领罪人归向基督。他们放弃了彼此之间的成见和争权夺位的欲望,并因与基督交通而紧密地团结一致。--AA 35-37 (1911). {LDE 184.2}
§18 As the disciples waited for the fulfillment of the promise, they humbled their hearts in true repentance and confessed their unbelief.... The disciples prayed with intense earnestness for a fitness to meet men and in their daily intercourse to speak words that would lead sinners to Christ. Putting away all differences, all desire for the supremacy, they came close together in Christian fellowship.—The Acts of the Apostles, 35-37 (1911). {LDE 184.2}
§19 圣灵的沛降,乃是在门徒们达到完全合一,不再为自己争取高位之后。--8T 20 (1904). {LDE 184.3}
§20 It was after the disciples had come into perfect unity, when they were no longer striving for the highest place, that the Spirit was poured out.—Testimonies for the Church 8:20 (1904). {LDE 184.3}
§21 使徒时代圣灵的沛降乃是早雨的开始,而其结果是辉煌的。圣灵必要一直与真的教会同在,直到世界的末了。--AA 54, 55 (1911). {LDE 184.4}
§22 The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was the beginning of the early, or former, rain, and glorious was the result. To the end of time the presence of the Spirit is to abide with the true church.—The Acts of the Apostles, 54, 55 (1911). {LDE 184.4}
§23 五旬节早雨的结果
§24 Consequences of the Early Rain at Pentecost
§25 在圣灵的感动之下,有悔改和认罪的声音与因罪蒙赦而感谢的歌声调和。……在一日之内,成千的人悔改了。……{LDE 185.1}
§26 Under the influence of the Spirit, words of penitence and confession mingled with songs of praise for sins forgiven.... Thousands were converted in a day.... {LDE 185.1}
§27 圣灵……赐给门徒的恩赐,使他们能流利地讲他们素来所不会讲的方言……圣灵为他们成就了他们自己一生所不能成就的事。--AA 38-40 (1911). {LDE 185.2}
§28 The Holy Spirit ... enabled them to speak with fluency languages with which they had heretofore been unacquainted.... The Holy Spirit did for them that which they could not have accomplished for themselves in a lifetime.—The Acts of the Apostles, 38-40 (1911). {LDE 185.2}
§29 他们心中所洋溢的仁爱是那么丰盛,那么深切,又是那么广泛,甚至激励他们到地极去为基督的大能作见证。--AA 46 (1911). {LDE 185.3}
§30 Their hearts were surcharged with a benevolence so full, so deep, so far-reaching, that it impelled them to go to the ends of the earth, testifying to the power of Christ.—The Acts of the Apostles, 46 (1911). {LDE 185.3}
§31 在五旬节那一天,圣灵沛降的结果是什么呢?就是救主复活的喜信传遍天下。……教会眼见悔改的人从各处蜂涌而至。冷淡退后的人又重新悔改了。……信徒们的唯一志向就是显示与基督相似的品格,并为扩大祂的国度而努力。--AA 48 (1911). {LDE 185.4}
§32 What was the result of the outpouring of the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost? The glad tidings of a risen Saviour were carried to the uttermost parts of the inhabited world.... The church beheld converts flocking to her from all directions. Backsliders were reconverted.... The ambition of the believers was to reveal the likeness of Christ’s character and to labor for the enlargement of His kingdom.—The Acts of the Apostles, 48 (1911). {LDE 185.4}
§33 晚雨的应许
§34 The Promise of the Latter Rain
§35 使徒时代所降下的圣灵是“早雨”,成绩辉煌可观。然而晚雨却必更为丰盛。--8T 21 (1904). {LDE 185.5}
§36 The outpouring of the Spirit in the days of the apostles was “the former rain,” and glorious was the result. But the latter rain will be more abundant.—Testimonies for the Church 8:21 (1904). {LDE 185.5}
§37 到了地上的工作行将结束时,祂要特别赐下圣灵的恩赐,以使教会预备迎接人子降临。这种圣灵的沛降好比晚雨的降临。--AA 55 (1911). {LDE 186.1}
§38 Near the close of earth’s harvest, a special bestowal of spiritual grace is promised to prepare the church for the coming of the Son of man. This outpouring of the Spirit is likened to the falling of the latter rain.—The Acts of the Apostles, 55 (1911). {LDE 186.1}
§39 在上帝的刑罚最后临到地上之前,在主的子民中间必有一番奋兴,表现着原始教会的敬虔,是自从使徒时代以来所没有见过的。上帝的圣灵和能力必要倾降在祂儿女的身上。--GC 464 (1911年) {LDE 186.2}
§40 Before the final visitation of God’s judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children.—The Great Controversy, 464 (1911). {LDE 186.2}
§41 这工作将要象五旬节的工作一样,在开始传福音的时候,圣灵的“早雨”曾沛然下降,使那宝贵的种子发芽生长;照样,在福音结束的时候,圣灵的“晚雨”也要降下,使庄稼成熟。--GC 611 (1911年) {LDE 186.3}
§42 The work will be similar to that of the Day of Pentecost. As the “former rain” was given, in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the opening of the gospel, to cause the upspringing of the precious seed, so the “latter rain” will be given at its close for the ripening of the harvest.—The Great Controversy, 611 (1911). {LDE 186.3}
§43 晚雨将带来大呼声
§44 The Latter Rain Will Produce the Loud Cry
§45 那时“晚雨”或“安舒的日子”就要从主面前来到,为要加强第三位天使的大呼声,并帮助圣徒在最后的七大灾倾降时站立得住。--EW 86 (1854). {LDE 186.4}
§46 At that time the “latter rain,” or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out.—Early Writings, 86 (1854). {LDE 186.4}
§47 我所见那些身穿军装的人大力宣讲真理。这真理颇有效验。……我问这种大变化是怎样造成的。一位天使回答说:“是由于晚雨,就是那从主面前而来的安舒的日子,就是第三位天使的大呼声。” --EW 271 (1858). {LDE 186.5}
§48 I heard those clothed with the armor speak forth the truth with great power. It had effect.... I asked what had made this great change. An angel answered, “It is the latter rain, the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel.”—Early Writings, 271 (1858). {LDE 186.5}
§49 B. 对基督徒个人的应用
§50 B. The Personal Application To Individual Christians
§51 早雨带来悔改;晚雨增强基督化的品格
§52 The Early Rain Produces Conversion; The Latter Rain Develops a Christlike Character
§53 我们在一生经验中的任何时候,都不可以放弃那使我们有良好开端的帮助。我们需要早雨所带来的福气,直到末了。……当我们向上帝求圣灵时,圣灵就会在我们里面造就温柔谦卑的心,衷心信赖上帝降下晚雨。--TM 507, 509 (1897). {LDE 187.1}
§54 At no point in our experience can we dispense with the assistance of that which enables us to make the first start. The blessings received under the former rain are needful to us to the end.... As we seek God for the Holy Spirit, it will work in us meekness, humbleness of mind, a conscious dependence upon God for the perfecting latter rain.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 507, 509 (1897). {LDE 187.1}
§55 圣灵一心想住在每一个生灵里面。倘若祂备受欢迎,视为贵宾,那凡接受祂的人就必在基督里完全;而这已开始的美好工作将会完成;圣洁的心思意念,属天的情感和如基督的作为,将会取代污秽的思想、败坏的感情和叛逆的行为。--CH 561 (1896). {LDE 187.2}
§56 The Holy Spirit seeks to abide in each soul. If it is welcomed as an honored guest, those who receive it will be made complete in Christ. The good work begun will be finished; the holy thoughts, heavenly affections, and Christlike actions will take the place of impure thoughts, perverse sentiments, and rebellious acts.—Counsels on Health, 561 (1896). {LDE 187.2}
§57 我们可能在一定的程度上有上帝之灵的同在。但我们要藉着祷告和信心,继续寻求更多的圣灵。我们绝不可停止我们的努力。如果我们没有进步,或不抱有领受早雨和晚雨的态度,我们就会丧失生命。这个责任将由我们自己来负责。……{LDE 187.3}
§58 We may have had a measure of the Spirit of God, but by prayer and faith we are continually to seek more of the Spirit. It will never do to cease our efforts. If we do not progress, if we do not place ourselves in an attitude to receive both the former and the latter rain, we shall lose our souls, and the responsibility will lie at our own door.... {LDE 187.3}
§59 教会任何形式的聚会,例如帐棚大会,家庭教会的聚会,以及一切个人救灵之工的场合,都是上帝命定赐予早雨和晚雨的场所。--TM 508 (1897). {LDE 188.1}
§60 The convocations of the church, as in camp meetings, the assemblies of the home church, and all occasions where there is personal labor for souls, are God’s appointed opportunities for giving the early and the latter rain.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 508 (1897). {LDE 188.1}
§61 我们若为上帝的灵预备了道路,祂的福惠就必临到。撒但再也不能阻止上帝的恩惠倾降在祂百姓身上,正如他不能关闭天上的窗户,使雨水不降在地上一样。--1SM 124 (1887). {LDE 188.2}
§62 When the way is prepared for the Spirit of God, the blessing will come. Satan can no more hinder a shower of blessing from descending upon God’s people than he can close the windows of heaven that rain cannot come upon the earth.—Selected Messages 1:124 (1887). {LDE 188.2}
§63 我们应当恳求圣灵的沛降
§64 We Should Pray Earnestly for the Descent of the Holy Spirit
§65 我们应当诚恳地祈求圣灵的沛降,正如门徒在五旬节那样。他们那时既需要圣灵,我们今日就更加需要了。--5T 158 (1882). {LDE 188.3}
§66 We should pray as earnestly for the descent of the Holy Spirit as the disciples prayed on the Day of Pentecost. If they needed it at that time, we need it more today.—Testimonies for the Church 5:158 (1882). {LDE 188.3}
§67 圣灵降临在教会内,被人视为是将来的事;但教会却有特权,现在就拥有圣灵。应当寻求圣灵、祈求圣灵、相信圣灵。我们现在必须有圣灵,上天正在等着要赐给我们。--Ev 701 (1895). {LDE 188.4}
§68 The descent of the Holy Spirit upon the church is looked forward to as in the future, but it is the privilege of the church to have it now. Seek for it, pray for it, believe for it. We must have it, and Heaven is waiting to bestow it.—Evangelism, 701 (1895). {LDE 188.4}
§69 我们领受圣灵多少,与我们对圣灵的热望及为它操练的信心大小,以及我们使用赐予我们的亮光与知识的情形相称。--RH 1896年5月5日. {LDE 188.5}
§70 The measure of the Holy Spirit we receive will be proportioned to the measure of our desire and the faith exercised for it, and the use we shall make of the light and knowledge that shall be given to us.—The Review and Herald, May 5, 1896. {LDE 188.5}
§71 我们没有十分乐意用我们的恳求来抓住上帝,向祂要求圣灵的恩赐。主希望我们在这事上抓住祂。祂希望我们将迫切的恳求呈于宝座前。--FE 537 (1909). {LDE 188.6}
§72 We are not willing enough to trouble the Lord with our petitions, and to ask Him for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Lord wants us to trouble Him in this matter. He wants us to press our petitions to the throne.—Fundamentals of Christian Education, 537 (1909). {LDE 188.6}
§73 我们必须在真实的悔改中谦卑己心
§74 We Must Humble Our Hearts in True Repentance
§75 我们一切需要中最重大而迫切的需要,就是要在我们中间复兴真实的敬虔。谋求这种复兴应是我们最重要的工作。要获得主的福气,必须付出真诚的努力。并非上帝不肯赐福给我们,而是我们没有准备好领受。地上的父母都愿意把好东西给他们的儿女,我们的天父更愿意把圣灵赐给寻求祂的人。但我们必须藉着认罪、谦卑、悔改和恳求来满足主应许赐福的条件。复兴必须以应允祷告为前提。--1SM 121 (1887). {LDE 189.1}
§76 A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our heavenly Father is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to prayer.—Selected Messages 1:121 (1887). {LDE 189.1}
§77 我告诉你们在我们当中必须有一种彻底的奋兴。必须有一种全新的侍奉。必须要认罪,悔改和归正。许多正在传讲圣言的人需要基督的恩典改变他们的心。他们应该不让任何东西妨碍自己成就一番彻底的工作,否则将永远悔之晚矣。--Letter 51, 1886. {LDE 189.2}
§78 I tell you that there must be a thorough revival among us. There must be a converted ministry. There must be confessions, repentance, and conversions. Many who are preaching the Word need the transforming grace of Christ in their hearts. They should let nothing stand in the way of their making thorough work before it shall be forever too late.—Letter 51, 1886. {LDE 189.2}
§79 改革必须伴随着复兴
§80 Reformation Must Accompany Revival
§81 教会必须在圣灵作工下发起复兴和改革运动。复兴和改革是两种不同的事物。复兴意味着属灵生命的更新,是人心思意念能力的复苏和活跃,是从属灵死亡的状态下复活过来。改革意味着整顿和变化,是指思想、理论、习惯和作法上的改变。改革若不与圣灵的复兴结合起来,便无法结出公义的好果实来。复兴和改革各有各的特定工作,但它们必须结合起来。--RH 1902年2月25日. {LDE 189.3}
§82 A revival and a reformation must take place, under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.—The Review and Herald, February 25, 1902. {LDE 189.3}
§83 我们必须除去一切争竞和分歧
§84 We Must Put Away All Strife and Dissension
§85 当工人们有基督常住在他们心中,所有的自私消除净尽;当再无争竞,也没有人夺取高位;当众人合一,把自己献给上帝,那时才能看见并感到大家彼此相爱,圣灵恩典的雨露才会降在他们身上,因为上帝的应许一点一画也不会落空。但是当工人们轻视别人的工作,显示自己的优越时,他们就证明了自己的工作并不具有应有的标志。上帝不能赐福他们。--1SM 175 (1896). {LDE 190.1}
§86 When the laborers have an abiding Christ in their own souls, when all selfishness is dead, when there is no rivalry, no strife for the supremacy, when oneness exists, when they sanctify themselves, so that love for one another is seen and felt, then the showers of the grace of the Holy Spirit will just as surely come upon them as that God’s promise will never fail in one jot or tittle. But when the work of others is discounted, that the workers may show their own superiority, they prove that their own work does not bear the signature it should. God cannot bless them.—Selected Messages 1:175 (1896). {LDE 190.1}
§87 如果我们要在主的大日站立得住,有基督作我们的避难所,我们的高台,那么我们必须除去一切的嫉妒和对高位的争夺。我们必须彻底根除这些不圣洁之事,使之不再在我们的生活中滋长。我们必须使自己完全站在主的一边。--TDG 258 (1903). {LDE 190.2}
§88 If we stand in the great day of the Lord with Christ as our refuge, our high tower, we must put away all envy, all strife for the supremacy. We must utterly destroy the roots of these unholy things, that they may not again spring up into life. We must place ourselves wholly on the side of the Lord.—This Day With God, 258 (1903). {LDE 190.2}
§89 唯愿基督徒除掉一切纷争,为了拯救失丧的人,各人都将自己献给上帝。愿他们凭着信心,要求应许之福,那福分就必临到。--8T 21 (1904). {LDE 191.1}
§90 Let Christians put away all dissension and give themselves to God for the saving of the lost. Let them ask in faith for the promised blessing, and it will come.—Testimonies for the Church 8:21 (1904). {LDE 191.1}
§91 彼此相爱Love One Another
§92 基督徒应当在彼此之间表现出温情。……基督应当得到祂所造生灵无上的爱。祂也要求人对同胞抱着神圣的关爱。每一人的得救,都是藉着源于上帝的爱。真实的悔改就是从自私转变到对上帝和同胞怀着圣洁的爱。--1SM 114, 115 (1901). {LDE 191.2}
§93 Christianity is the revealing of the tenderest affection for one another.... Christ is to receive supreme love from the beings He has created. And He requires also that man shall cherish a sacred regard for his fellow beings. Every soul saved will be saved through love, which begins with God. True conversion is a change from selfishness to sanctified affection for God and for one another.—Selected Messages 1:114, 115 (1901). {LDE 191.2}
§94 上帝所最为珍视的品质就是仁爱和纯洁。每一个基督徒应当怀有这些品质。--5T 85 (1882). {LDE 191.3}
§95 The attributes which God prizes most are charity and purity. These attributes should be cherished by every Christian.—Testimonies for the Church 5:85 (1882). {LDE 191.3}
§96 使人信服福音最强最充足的理由,就是一个爱人而可爱的基督徒。--MH 470 (1905). {LDE 191.4}
§97 The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.—The Ministry of Healing, 470 (1905). {LDE 191.4}
§98 必需全然降服
§99 Total Surrender Required
§100 凡不是毫无保留的归顺,上帝决不悦纳。不热诚而有罪的基督徒必不能进入天国。他们在那里也找不到什么快乐,因为他们对于那管治王室成员的高尚、圣洁原则一无所知。真基督徒保持着心灵的窗户向天敞开。他与基督相交共处而生活着。他的意志是顺应基督的旨意的。他最高的愿望就是想越来越象基督。--RH 1907年5月16日. {LDE 191.5}
§101 God will accept nothing less than unreserved surrender. Half-hearted, sinful Christians can never enter heaven. There they would find no happiness, for they know nothing of the high, holy principles that govern the members of the royal family. The true Christian keeps the windows of the soul open heavenward. He lives in fellowship with Christ. His will is conformed to the will of Christ. His highest desire is to become more and more Christlike.—The Review and Herald, May 16, 1907. {LDE 191.5}
§102 我们不可差用圣灵,乃是圣灵必须差用我们。上帝藉着圣灵在祂子民心里运行,使他们“立志行事……成就祂的美意”(腓2:13)。但是许多人不愿意服从这种引导。他们要自作主张,这就是他们得不到上天恩赐的原因。惟有那些谦卑等侯上帝,并注意祂引导和恩典的人,才能得到圣灵。--DA 672 (1898). {LDE 192.1}
§103 We cannot use the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is to use us. Through the Spirit God works in His people “to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). But many will not submit to this. They want to manage themselves. This is why they do not receive the heavenly gift. Only to those who wait humbly upon God, who watch for His guidance and grace, is the Spirit given.—The Desire of Ages, 672 (1898). {LDE 192.1}
§104 为晚雨扫清道路
§105 Clearing the Way for the Latter Rain
§106 我看到任何人若不胜过种种的诱惑,胜过骄傲、自私、爱世界,并胜过一切不正当的言行,就决不能分享“安舒”的经验。因此,我们应当越来越亲近主,并且诚恳地致力于作那必要的准备,以便我们在主的大日的战场上站立得住。--EW 71 (1851). {LDE 192.2}
§107 I saw that none could share the “refreshing” unless they obtain the victory over every besetment, over pride, selfishness, love of the world, and over every wrong word and action. We should therefore be drawing nearer and nearer to the Lord and be earnestly seeking that preparation necessary to enable us to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.—Early Writings, 71 (1851). {LDE 192.2}
§108 要纠正品格上的缺点,洁净心灵殿宇的各样玷污,全在乎我们自己。然后晚雨就必降在我们身上,正如早雨降在门徒们身上一样。--5T 214 (1882). {LDE 192.3}
§109 It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost.—Testimonies for the Church 5:214 (1882). {LDE 192.3}
§110 撒但最害怕的,就是上帝的百姓清除障碍、预备道路,好使主能将祂的圣灵倾降在渐渐衰弱的教会和顽梗悖逆的会众身上。……每一次的试探,每一种反对的势力,不论是公开的或是秘密的,他们都能予以有效的抵抗,“万军之耶和华说:不是依靠势力,不是依靠才能,乃是依靠我的灵方能成事”(亚4:6)。--1SM 124 (1887). {LDE 192.4}
§111 There is nothing that Satan fears so much as that the people of God shall clear the way by removing every hindrance, so that the Lord can pour out His Spirit upon a languishing church.... Every temptation, every opposing influence, whether open or secret, may be successfully resisted, “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).—Selected Messages 1:124 (1887). {LDE 192.4}
§112 晚雨必要倾降,上帝的福惠必要充满每一颗洁净了所有污秽的心灵。我们今日的工作就是使自己的心归顺基督,为安舒的日子从主面前来到,为圣灵的洗礼作好准备。--1SM 191 (1892). {LDE 193.1}
§113 The latter rain will come, and the blessing of God will fill every soul that is purified from every defilement. It is our work today to yield our souls to Christ, that we may be fitted for the time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord—fitted for the baptism of the Holy Spirit.—Selected Messages 1:191 (1892). {LDE 193.1}
§114 在为基督的服务上成为积极的工人
§115 Become Active Laborers in Christ’s Service
§116 当所有的教会都变成活跃和工作的教会,圣灵便会因他们恳切的祷告而赐下。……接着,天上的窗户敞开,以降下晚雨。--RH 1890年2月25日. {LDE 193.2}
§117 When the churches become living, working churches, the Holy Spirit will be given in answer to their sincere request.... Then the windows of heaven will be open for the showers of the latter rain.—The Review and Herald, February 25, 1890. {LDE 193.2}
§118 上帝圣灵的沛然大降,使全地被祂的荣耀所光照,然而,除非我们先拥有一群接受真光的子民,凭经验认识何谓与上帝同工,这事便不会成就。当我们已经完全献身,一心一意地为基督服务之时,上帝就要无限量地沛降圣灵,来认可这种事实;但在教会大部分的人尚未成为上帝的同工之前,这事是不会有的。--ChS 253 (1896). {LDE 193.3}
§119 The great outpouring of the Spirit of God, which lightens the whole earth with His glory, will not come until we have an enlightened people, that know by experience what it means to be laborers together with God. When we have entire, wholehearted consecration to the service of Christ, God will recognize the fact by an outpouring of His Spirit without measure; but this will not be while the largest portion of the church are not laborers together with God.—Christian Service, 253 (1896). {LDE 193.3}
§120 教会何时抹去了怠惰和迟钝的羞辱,主的灵就必仁慈地彰显;神能也要出现。教会必眼见万军之耶和华的神意运行。--9T 46 (1909). {LDE 193.4}
§121 When the reproach of indolence and slothfulness shall have been wiped away from the church, the Spirit of the Lord will be graciously manifested. Divine power will be revealed. The church will see the providential working of the Lord of hosts.—Testimonies for the Church 9:46 (1909). {LDE 193.4}
§122 “保持器皿洁净和向上张口”
§123 “Keep the Vessel Clean and Right Side Up”
§124 我们不必为晚雨担心。我们所必须要做的就是保持器皿洁净、向上张口、准备好接受天上的雨,并且不停地祷告,“让晚雨进入我的器皿;让那与第三位天使联合的荣耀天使的光照在我身上;使我在这工作中有一份;让我扬声传讲;让我成为一个与耶稣基督同工的人。”这样寻求上帝吧,让我告诉你,祂始终在装备着你,并赐给你祂的恩典。--UL 283 (1891). {LDE 194.1}
§125 We need not worry about the latter rain. All we have to do is to keep the vessel clean and right side up and prepared for the reception of the heavenly rain, and keep praying, “Let the latter rain come into my vessel. Let the light of the glorious angel which unites with the third angel shine upon me; give me a part in the work; let me sound the proclamation; let me be a colaborer with Jesus Christ.” Thus seeking God, let me tell you, He is fitting you up all the time, giving you His grace.—The Upward Look, 283 (1891). {LDE 194.1}
§126 答复可能以出乎意料的迅速及难以抑制的能力来到,或者也可能要耽延许多时日,使我们的信心经受考验。然而上帝总知道用什么方式,并在什么时候允准我们的祈祷。我们这一方面的工作,乃是要使自己与神圣的通路保持联络。上帝必要为祂那一方面的工作负责。因为那应许我们的是信实的。我们最重要的事就是:大家要同心合意,除去一切的嫉妒仇恨,虚心祈祷儆醒等候,我们的代表和元首耶稣,已经准备妥当,要照祂在五旬节为那些儆醒祈祷之门徒所行的为我们而行。--3SP 272 (1878). {LDE 194.2}
§127 The answer may come with sudden velocity and overpowering might, or it may be delayed for days and weeks, and our faith receive a trial. But God knows how and when to answer our prayer. It is our part of the work to put ourselves in connection with the divine channel. God is responsible for His part of the work. He is faithful who hath promised. The great and important matter with us is to be of one heart and mind, putting aside all envy and malice and, as humble supplicants, to watch and wait. Jesus, our Representative and Head, is ready to do for us what He did for the praying, watching ones on the Day of Pentecost.—The Spirit of Prophecy 3:272 (1878). {LDE 194.2}
§128 我不知道圣灵何时沛降,也不晓得何日那大能的天使将从天而降,和第三位天使联合一致,以完成这世界的大工。我的信息是,我们唯一安全的保障,是为那苏醒人心之圣灵的来临作好准备,将我们的灯剔净并点燃。--1SM 192 (1892). {LDE 194.3}
§129 I have no specific time of which to speak when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit will take place—when the mighty angel will come down from heaven and unite with the third angel in closing up the work for this world. My message is that our only safety is in being ready for the heavenly refreshing, having our lamps trimmed and burning.—Selected Messages 1:192 (1892). {LDE 194.3}
§130 并非全部领受晚雨
§131 Not All Will Receive the Latter Rain
§132 我蒙指示,上帝的子民若不努力尽到他们的本分,只是等候安舒的日子来到,除去他们的过犯,纠正他们的错误;倘若他们赖此以洁净身心一切的污秽,预备参加第三位天使之大呼声的工作,就必显出他们的亏欠来。--1T 619 (1867).{LDE 195.1}
§133 I was shown that if God’s people make no efforts on their part, but wait for the refreshing to come upon them and remove their wrongs and correct their errors; if they depend upon that to cleanse them from filthiness of the flesh and spirit, and fit them to engage in the loud cry of the third angel, they will be found wanting.—Testimonies For The Church 1:619 (1867). {LDE 195.1}
§134 我们正在盼望着整个教会的复兴吗?这个时刻永远不会来到。教会里还有未悔改的人,他们不会参与到真诚恳切的祷告中来。我们必须先从个人开展工作。我们必须多一些祷告,少一些夸夸其谈。--1SM 122 (1887). {LDE 195.2}
§135 Are we hoping to see the whole church revived? That time will never come. There are persons in the church who are not converted, and who will not unite in earnest, prevailing prayer. We must enter upon the work individually. We must pray more, and talk less.—Selected Messages 1:122 (1887). {LDE 195.2}
§136 我们可以确信,当圣灵沛降时,那些没有接受和赏识早雨的人,也不会看明或懂得晚雨的价值。--TM 399 (1896). {LDE 195.3}
§137 We may be sure that when the Holy Spirit is poured out, those who did not receive and appreciate the early rain will not see or understand the value of the latter rain.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 399 (1896). {LDE 195.3}
§138 唯有那些按照他们所已蒙受亮光而生活的人,才得以领受更大的光。我们若不在活泼的基督化德行表现上,天天有所长进,就决不会察觉出圣灵在春雨中所有的显示。春雨或许正沛降在我们四围之人的心中,只是我们既未看出,也不领受。--TM 507 (1897). {LDE 195.4}
§139 Only those who are living up to the light they have will receive greater light. Unless we are daily advancing in the exemplification of the active Christian virtues, we shall not recognize the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain. It may be falling on hearts all around us, but we shall not discern or receive it.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 507 (1897). {LDE 195.4}
§140 凡不下决心工作,而单是等候圣灵来催迫才去行动的人,必要灭亡在黑暗中。你不应静坐,而在上帝的圣工中无所事事。--ChS 228 (1903). {LDE 196.1}
§141 Those who make no decided effort, but simply wait for the Holy Spirit to compel them to action, will perish in darkness. You are not to sit still and do nothing in the work of God.—Christian Service, 228 (1903). {LDE 196.1}
