第12章 摇动
§1 第12章 摇动
§2 Chapter 12—The Shaking
§3 教会成员的资格不保证得救
§4 Church Membership No Guarantee of Salvation
§5 我所要给教会的,是一道严重的文告,现今名录在教会簿册上的人,已为人间历史结束之日而准备好的,不及二十分之一,他们活在世上简直是没有上帝及没有指望,像普通的罪人一样。--ChS 41 (1893). {LDE 172.1}
§6 It is a solemn statement that I make to the church, that not one in twenty whose names are registered upon the church books are prepared to close their earthly history, and would be as verily without God and without hope in the world as the common sinner.—Christian Service, 41 (1893). {LDE 172.1}
§7 那些有机会听到和领受真理,参加基督复临安息日会,自称是守上帝诫命的子民,然而并不比那些有名无实的教会拥有更多的活力和对上帝献身的人,将承受上帝的灾殃,正如那些反对上帝律法的教会一样。--19MR 176 (1898). {LDE 172.2}
§8 Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive of the truth and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment-keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God.—Manuscript Releases 19:176 (1898). {LDE 172.2}
§9 糠秕与麦子分开
§10 The Chaff Separated From the Wheat
§11 教会中会有分裂,会发展为两派。麦子和稗子一起生长直到收割。--2SM 114 (1896). {LDE 172.3}
§12 Divisions will come in the church. Two parties will be developed. The wheat and tares grow up together for the harvest.—Selected Messages 2:114 (1896). {LDE 172.3}
§13 将有筛分的摇动。糠秕终必从麦子中分离出来。因为不法的事增多,许多人的爱心渐渐冷淡了。这正是真实的子民变得最坚强的时候。--Letter 46, 1887. {LDE 173.1}
§14 There will be a shaking of the sieve. The chaff must in time be separated from the wheat. Because iniquity abounds, the love of many waxes cold. It is the very time when the genuine will be the strongest.—Letter 46, 1887. {LDE 173.1}
§15 大坍和亚比兰叛变的历史正在重演,并且还要重演直到末了。谁会站在主的这一边呢?谁会受欺骗,进而又成为欺骗者呢?--Letter 15, 1892. {LDE 173.2}
§16 The history of the rebellion of Dathan and Abiram is being repeated, and will be repeated till the close of time. Who will be on the Lord’s side? Who will be deceived, and in their turn become deceivers?—Letter 15, 1892. {LDE 173.2}
§17 主即将来临。在每个教会里都必有一个精炼、扬场的过程,因为在我们当中有恶人,他们不爱真理,也不尊荣上帝。--RH 1895年3月19日. {LDE 173.3}
§18 The Lord is soon to come. There must be a refining, winnowing process in every church, for there are among us wicked men who do not love the truth or honor God.—The Review and Herald, March 19, 1895. {LDE 173.3}
§19 我们是处于动荡的时代中,凡是能被摇动的都要被摇动掉。人若果明白真理而不在言行上顺从主的命令,祂必不原谅他们。--6T 332 (1900). {LDE 173.4}
§20 We are in the shaking time, the time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. The Lord will not excuse those who know the truth if they do not in word and deed obey His commands.—Testimonies for the Church 6:332 (1900). {LDE 173.4}
§21 逼迫洁净教会
§22 Persecution Cleanses the Church
§23 顺境可增加大批的挂名者。逆境却把他们从教会中清除。--4T 89 (1876). {LDE 173.5}
§24 Prosperity multiplies a mass of professors. Adversity purges them out of the church.—Testimonies for the Church 4:89 (1876). {LDE 173.5}
§25 时日不远了,那时试验会临到每一个人,要强迫我们接受兽的印记。那些一步一步屈从属世要求,依顺属世风俗的人,这时要顺从掌权者,以免自己遭受讥诮、凌辱、与监禁及死刑的威胁,也就不感困难了。这是上帝的诫命与人的命令之间的斗争。这时教会中的纯金必与渣滓分别开来。--5T 81 (1882).{LDE 173.6}
§26 The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church.—Testimonies for the Church 5:81 (1882). {LDE 173.6}
§27 在逼迫未曾临到之时,我们的行列中也夹有一些表面上看来颇为健全、基督教信仰也无问题的分子,可是一旦逼迫来临,这班人就必离我们而去了。--Ev 360 (1890). {LDE 174.1}
§28 In the absence of the persecution there have drifted into our ranks men who appear sound and their Christianity unquestionable, but who, if persecution should arise, would go out from us.—Evangelism, 360 (1890). {LDE 174.1}
§29 世人一旦废弃了上帝的律法,教会就必被火炼的试验所筛,而且将有大批超过我们现在所预料的人,去听从那引诱人的邪灵和鬼魔的道理。--2SM 368 (1891). {LDE 174.2}
§30 When the law of God is made void the church will be sifted by fiery trials, and a larger proportion than we now anticipate will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.—Selected Messages 2:368 (1891). {LDE 174.2}
§31 表面上的信徒要弃绝信仰
§32 Superficial Believers Will Renounce the Faith
§33 教会在太平顺利之时未曾作成的工,将要在最沮丧而可厌的环境下,在非常的危急关头中作成。由于随从世俗之风而停息不传的警告,必须在信仰之敌最猛烈的攻击下传开。到了那时,一班肤浅保守[怀爱伦在这里不是在区分神学上的保守者和对应的自由主义者;她是描述那些把“符合世俗”放在首位而把上帝的事业放在其次的人。]的人,其影响曾经顽固地阻滞了圣工的前进,就要弃绝信仰。--5T 463 (1885). {LDE 174.3}
§34 The work which the church has failed to do in a time of peace and prosperity she will have to do in a terrible crisis under most discouraging, forbidding circumstances. The warnings that worldly conformity has silenced or withheld must be given under the fiercest opposition from enemies of the faith. And at that time the superficial, conservative [Ellen White is not here distinguishing theological conservatives from their liberal counterparts; she is describing those who put “worldly conformity” first and God’s cause second.] class, whose influence has steadily retarded the progress of the work, will renounce the faith.—Testimonies for the Church 5:463 (1885). {LDE 174.3}
§35 撒但若看到主祝福祂的子民,预备他们识别他的欺骗伎俩,就会改弦易辙,要么引进狂热主义,要么导入冷淡的形式主义,好夺走人的心。--2SM 19 (1890). {LDE 174.4}
§36 If Satan sees that the Lord is blessing His people and preparing them to discern his delusions, he will work with his master power to bring in fanaticism on the one hand and cold formalism on the other, that he may gather in a harvest of souls.—Selected Messages 2:19 (1890). {LDE 174.4}
§37 那些有机会和特权在真理上变得明智,却继续阻碍上帝所要成就之工作的人,将被清除出去,因为上帝不接纳任何三心二意之人的侍奉。--Ms 64, 1898. {LDE 175.1}
§38 Those who have had privileges and opportunities to become intelligent in regard to the truth and yet who continue to counterwork the work God would have accomplished will be purged out, for God accepts the service of no man whose interest is divided.—Manuscript 64, 1898. {LDE 175.1}
§39 当试炼在我们周围加深之时,团结与分离这两种现象同时会出现在我们中间。有些现在准备拿起兵器的人,当真正的危机临到之时,却必显明自己并没有建立在坚固的磐石上;他们会屈从试探。那些曾享有大光和宝贵特权却没有善予利用的人,要以各种的借口离开我们。--6T 400 (1900). {LDE 175.2}
§40 As trials thicken around us, both separation and unity will be seen in our ranks. Some who are now ready to take up weapons of warfare will in times of real peril make it manifest that they have not built upon the solid rock; they will yield to temptation. Those who have had great light and precious privileges but have not improved them will, under one pretext or another, go out from us.—Testimonies for the Church 6:400 (1900). {LDE 175.2}
§41 直率的证言造成摇动
§42 The Straight Testimony Produces a Shaking
§43 我询问这所见的大摇动究竟是什么意思,便蒙指示知道,原来这就是那“真实见证者”为劝告老底嘉教会而作之直接见证所造成的大摇动。这道见证必在领受之人的心上生了效验,使他提高标准,并传播正直的真理。但也有些人受不住这道直截的见证,便起来反对它。这样。就在上帝的子民中,起了一场大摇动。--1T 181 (1857). {LDE 175.3}
§44 I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this will cause a shaking among God’s people.—Testimonies For The Church 1:181 (1857). {LDE 175.3}
§45 我们当中有些人要认罪,就象亚干认罪一样,太迟了,不能救他们自己了。……他们没有与公义协调一致。他们轻视那触及内心的率直的证言,并乐于见到一切发出谴责的人缄默不言。--3T 272 (1873). {LDE 175.4}
§46 There are those among us who will make confessions, as did Achan, too late to save themselves. ... They are not in harmony with right. They despise the straight testimony that reaches the heart, and would rejoice to see everyone silenced who gives reproof.—Testimonies for the Church 3:272 (1873). {LDE 175.4}
§47 主要求我们重申往年所传率直的证言。衪呼吁我们复兴灵性的生活。衪子民灵性的机能久已麻痹,但却要从那看似死亡的情况中复活过来。借着祈祷与认罪,我们必须清扫君王的大道。--8T 297 (1904). {LDE 176.1}
§48 The Lord calls for a renewal of the straight testimony borne in years past. He calls for a renewal of spiritual life. The spiritual energies of His people have long been torpid, but there is to be a resurrection from apparent death. By prayer and confession of sin we must clear the King’s highway.—Testimonies for the Church 8:297 (1904). {LDE 176.1}
§49 不公道的批评导致灵命的丧失
§50 Unjust Criticism Causes Loss of Souls
§51 就在我们的时代,也已经有过,并继续会有一个一个曾因真理而欢乐的家庭,会丧失信心,因为有诽谤和谎言传给他们,是关于他们所爱的,并有过亲密交流的人。他们向所撒的稗子敞开心怀;稗子在麦子中间长了起来,并越长越壮;麦子的产量越来越少;宝贵的真理对他们丧失了能力。--TM 411 (1898). {LDE 176.2}
§52 Even in our day there have been and will continue to be entire families who have once rejoiced in the truth, but who will lose faith because of calumnies and falsehoods brought to them in regard to those whom they have loved and with whom they have had sweet counsel. They opened their hearts to the sowing of tares, the tares sprang up among the wheat, they strengthened, the crop of wheat became less and less, and the precious truth lost its power to them.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 411 (1898). {LDE 176.2}
§53 谬道拉走一些人
§54 False Doctrines Draw Some Away
§55 所谓的科学要与宗教针锋相对,因为有限的人无法理解上帝的权能和伟大。圣经上指示我们:“你们中间,也必有人起来,说悖谬的话,要引诱门徒跟从他们”(徒20:30)。在上帝的子民中间必有这样的事情发生。--Ev 593 (1890). {LDE 176.3}
§56 Science, so-called, and religion will be placed in opposition to each other because finite men do not comprehend the power and greatness of God. These words of Holy Writ were presented to me, “Of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” [Acts 20:30]. This will surely be seen among the people of God.—Evangelism, 593 (1890). {LDE 176.3}
§57 当错误理论的进入引起动荡时,这些肤浅的读者既无处抛锚,就象流沙一样了。他们会滑到适应他们痛苦心情的任何立场上去。--TM 112 (1897). {LDE 177.1}
§58 When the shaking comes, by the introduction of false theories, these surface readers, anchored nowhere, are like shifting sand. They slide into any position to suit the tenor of their feelings of bitterness.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 112 (1897). {LDE 177.1}
§59 他们既没有领受爱真理的心,就必被仇敌的迷惑所欺骗;他们必听从引诱人的邪灵和鬼魔的道理,离弃真道。--6T 401 (1900). {LDE 177.2}
§60 Not having received the love of the truth, they will be taken in the delusions of the enemy; they will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils and will depart from the faith.—Testimonies for the Church 6:401 (1900). {LDE 177.2}
§61 仇敌要带来许多虚假的理论,诸如没有圣所的理论。这是使我们离开信仰的一个要点。--Ev 224 (1905). {LDE 177.3}
§62 The enemy will bring in false theories, such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary. This is one of the points on which there will be a departing from the faith.—Evangelism, 224 (1905). {LDE 177.3}
§63 拒绝证言导致背道
§64 Rejection of the Testimonies Results in Apostasy
§65 有一点是必然的:基督复临安息会中那些站在撒但旗帜之下的信徒,对上帝之灵的证言所包含的警告和责备,将首先放弃他们的信心。--3SM 84 (1903). {LDE 177.4}
§66 One thing is certain: Those Seventh-day Adventists who take their stand under Satan’s banner will first give up their faith in the warnings and reproofs contained in the Testimonies of God’s Spirit.—Selected Messages 3:84 (1903). {LDE 177.4}
§67 撒但最后的骗局就是要使上帝圣灵的证言失效。 “没有异象,民就放肆”(箴29:18)。撒但要千方百计动摇上帝余民对于真实证言的信心。--1SM 48 (1890). {LDE 177.5}
§68 The very last deception of Satan will be to make of none effect the testimony of the Spirit of God. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony.—Selected Messages 1:48 (1890). {LDE 177.5}
§69 仇敌已经作了他狡诈的努力,来动摇我们自己的百姓对于证言的信心。……这恰好与撒但所谋划的一样。那些一直在使百姓不注意上帝之灵的证言中的警告和责备而预备道路的人,他们将看到各种错误的思潮要涌入生活中。--3SM 83 (1890). {LDE 178.1}
§70 The enemy has made his masterly efforts to unsettle the faith of our own people in the Testimonies.... This is just as Satan designed it should be, and those who have been preparing the way for the people to pay no heed to the warnings and reproofs of the Testimonies of the Spirit of God will see that a tide of errors of all kinds will spring into life.—Selected Messages 3:83 (1890). {LDE 178.1}
§71 撒但的计划是要削弱上帝子民对于证言的信心。下一步紧接着就是怀疑我们信仰的各要点,即我们的立场的支柱,然后就是怀疑圣经,最后坠入毁灭。当一度相信过的证言被怀疑和放弃时,撒但知道那些受骗者不会停在这里;他再加倍努力,直到发动他们公开叛变,变得不可救药,以灭亡告终。--4T 211. {LDE 178.2}
§72 It is Satan’s plan to weaken the faith of God’s people in the Testimonies. Next follows skepticism in regard to the vital points of our faith, the pillars of our position, then doubt as to the Holy Scriptures, and then the downward march to perdition. When the Testimonies, which were once believed, are doubted and given up, Satan knows the deceived ones will not stop at this; and he redoubles his efforts till he launches them into open rebellion, which becomes incurable and ends in destruction.—Testimonies for the Church 4:211. {LDE 178.2}
§73 教会领袖中的背叛
§74 Defections Among Church Leaders
§75 我们素来所敬仰的许多“明星”必要陨落于黑暗之中。--PK 188 (c. 1914). {LDE 178.3}
§76 Many a star that we have admired for its brilliance will then go out in darkness.—Prophets and Kings, 188 (c. 1914). {LDE 178.3}
§77 上帝所大大尊荣的多人,在这世界历史的结局中,要重蹈古以色列人的覆辙。……违背基督在他的教训中所制定的伟大原则;人的方案的成功;在路锡甫邪恶的指使下,用圣经证明错误的做法是正当的;这些要使人们的误解更坚定,而那些他们所需要来防止他们的错行的真理,要从心灵中流失,就像水从破漏的器皿中泄漏一样。--13MR 379, 381 (1904). {LDE 178.4}
§78 Men whom He has greatly honored will, in the closing scenes of this earth’s history, pattern after ancient Israel.... A departure from the great principles Christ has laid down in His teachings, a working out of human projects, using the Scriptures to justify a wrong course of action under the perverse working of Lucifer, will confirm men in misunderstanding, and the truth that they need to keep them from wrong practices will leak out of the soul like water from a leaky vessel.—Manuscript Releases 13:379, 381 (1904). {LDE 178.4}
§79 许多人要显明他们没有与基督合一,他们没有向世界死,以便可以与基督同活;那些身居要职之人的叛教将时常发生。--RH 1888年9月11日. {LDE 179.1}
§80 Many will show that they are not one with Christ, that they are not dead to the world, that they may live with Him; and frequent will be the apostasies of men who have occupied responsible positions.—The Review and Herald, September 11, 1888. {LDE 179.1}
§81 未成圣的传道人将被清除
§82 Unsanctified Ministers Will Be Weeded Out
§83 如此近在咫尺的这一重大问题[强迫人守星期日的法律]将清除那些上帝未曾指定的人。祂将有一班纯结、真实、成圣的传道人,为晚雨作好了准备。--3SM 385 (1886). {LDE 179.2}
§84 The great issue so near at hand [enforcement of Sunday laws] will weed out those whom God has not appointed and He will have a pure, true, sanctified ministry prepared for the latter rain.—Selected Messages 3:385 (1886). {LDE 179.2}
§85 许多人要站在我们的讲台上,手里拿着假预言的火把,是从撒但可憎的火把点着的。……{LDE 179.3}
§86 Many will stand in our pulpits with the torch of false prophecy in their hands, kindled from the hellish torch of Satan.... {LDE 179.3}
§87 有些人将从我们当中出去,不愿再扛抬约柜。但是这些人无法建立隔墙,阻挡真理;因为真理必向前向上进展到底。--TM 409, 411 (1898). {LDE 179.4}
§88 Some will go out from among us who will bear the ark no longer. But these can not make walls to obstruct the truth; for it will go onward and upward to the end.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 409, 411 (1898). {LDE 179.4}
§89 传道者们和医生们可能离弃信仰,正如圣经断言他们要如此,也正如上帝已赐给他仆人的信息断言他们要如此。--7MR 192 (1906). {LDE 179.5}
§90 Ministers and doctors may depart from the faith, as the Word declares they will, and as the messages that God has given His servant declare they will.—Manuscript Releases 7:192 (1906). {LDE 179.5}
§91 教会看起来似乎行将衰落
§92 The Church May Appear as About to Fall
§93 在上帝的筛动之下,许多人便被筛掉象枯干的树叶一样。--4T 89 (1876). {LDE 180.1}
§94 The shaking of God blows away multitudes like dry leaves.—Testimonies for the Church 4:89 (1876). {LDE 180.1}
§95 糠秕要象云雾一样被风吹去,即使在现在显为是丰盛的麦场也要如此。--5T 81 (1882). {LDE 180.2}
§96 Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat.—Testimonies for the Church 5:81 (1882). {LDE 180.2}
§97 上帝的子民不久就要受火炼的试验。现今许多看来很是真实纯正的人,到那时就要显出是劣质的金属了……{LDE 180.3}
§98 Soon God’s people will be tested by fiery trials, and the great proportion of those who now appear to be genuine and true will prove to be base metal.... {LDE 180.3}
§99 在基督的宗教最受人蔑视,祂的律法最受人看轻之时,我们却当发出最诚挚的热心,及最坚决不移的勇气和决心来。在大多数的人厌弃我们之时,坚立护卫真理及公义,在战士稀少之时,为主奋勇作战;这就是我们的试炼。这时,我们应当因别人的冷淡而热忱,因他们的胆怯而勇敢,并因他们的反叛而忠贞。--5T 136 (1882). {LDE 180.4}
§100 When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few—this will be our test. At this time we must gather warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their cowardice, and loyalty from their treason.—Testimonies for the Church 5:136 (1882). {LDE 180.4}
§101 教会看起来似乎行将衰落,其实它并不衰落。它必存留,但锡安的罪人却必被筛出——于是糠秕就与宝贵的麦子分开了。这是一场可怕的严酷考验,然而它是必须发生的。--2SM 380 (1886). {LDE 180.5}
§102 The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out—the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place.—Selected Messages 2:380 (1886). {LDE 180.5}
§103 在这次暴风雨临近的时候,必有许多素来承认相信第三位天使信息而未曾藉着顺从真理而成圣的人要放弃他们的立场,去加入反对真理的队伍。--GC 608 (1911年) {LDE 180.6}
§104 As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel’s message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition.—The Great Controversy, 608 (1911). {LDE 180.6}
§105 上帝忠心的子民将显露出来
§106 God’s Faithful Will Be Revealed
§107 主有忠心的仆人们,在试验及在摇动之时,必要显露出来。有许多未向巴力屈膝的宝贵分子现今是藏而未现。他们还没有得到那集中向他们发射的亮光。可是一种真基督徒品格的纯洁光辉,也许会在粗糙而不动人的外表之下显明。我们在白天仰望天空,是见不到星辰的;但它们都在那里嵌在穹苍中,不过人眼看不见罢了。到了晚上,我们便可见到它们真实的光芒。--5T 80, 81 (1882). {LDE 181.1}
§108 The Lord has faithful servants who in the shaking, testing time will be disclosed to view. There are precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you. But it may be under a rough and uninviting exterior the pure brightness of a genuine Christian character will be revealed. In the daytime we look toward heaven but do not see the stars. They are there, fixed in the firmament, but the eye cannot distinguish them. In the night we behold their genuine luster.—Testimonies for the Church 5:80, 81 (1882). {LDE 181.1}
§109 每当逼迫发生,一切有关的人就必须决定是拥护基督还是反对基督。那些向受冤屈者表同情,而不是恶毒反对他们的人,显明自己是属于基督的。--ST 1901年2月20日. {LDE 181.2}
§110 On every occasion that persecution takes place, the witnesses make decisions, either for Christ or against Him. Those who show sympathy for the men wrongly condemned, who are not bitter against them, show their attachment for Christ.—The Signs of the Times, February 20, 1901. {LDE 181.2}
§111 何时反对兴起,而宗教偏见再度活跃,以致逼迫重新燃起,那心怀二意假冒为善的人就要动摇起来,而放弃信仰;但真实的基督徒却将站立稳固,坚如磐石,他的信心与希望反要比平安顺利的日子更为坚强,更放光明。--GC 602 (1911年) {LDE 181.3}
§112 Let opposition arise, let bigotry and intolerance again bear sway, let persecution be kindled, and the half-hearted and hypocritical will waver and yield the faith; but the true Christian will stand firm as a rock, his faith stronger, his hope brighter than in days of prosperity.—The Great Controversy, 602 (1911). {LDE 181.3}
§113 新悔改者要取代那些离开的人
§114 New Converts Will Take the Places of Those Who Leave
§115 有一些人已经被震动而撇在路旁了。那些粗心大意,漠不关心,没有与那些珍视胜利与救恩的人一同恒切祷告挣扎的人,就没有得胜,却被撇在黑暗里,他们的地位就立即被其他领受真理而参加圣工的人所补充了。--EW 271 (1858). {LDE 182.1}
§116 Some had been shaken out and left by the way. The careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not obtain it, and they were left behind in darkness, and their places were immediately filled by others taking hold of the truth and coming into the ranks.—Early Writings, 271 (1858). {LDE 182.1}
§117 那些被基督称为在酉初进来的人,将填补这缺损的行列。有许多人是上帝的灵所要竭力感化的。上帝施行毁灭报应之时,也正是一般[现在]还没有机会认识真理之人的恩典时期。主以慈怜的心肠垂顾他们。祂动了慈心,仍旧伸着手要拯救他们;但对于那般不肯进去的人,门也就关闭了。大量在这末时初次听到真理的人要被接纳。--Letter 103, 1903. {LDE 182.2}
§118 The broken ranks will be filled up by those represented by Christ as coming in at the eleventh hour. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving. The time of God’s destructive judgments is the time of mercy for those who [now] have no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them.
