Chapter 9—Sunday Laws
§3
撒但对上帝权威的挑战
§4
Satan’s Challenge to God’s Authority
§5
上帝斥责巴比伦“叫万民喝邪淫大怒之酒”…… {LDE 123.1}
§6
God denounces Babylon “because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”... {LDE 123.1}
§7
上帝在六日之内创造了世界,第七日停工歇息,使这日成圣,分别出来归己为圣,要祂的子民世世代代遵守这一日。但那大罪人高抬自己超过上帝,坐在上帝的殿里,自称是上帝,想要改变节期和律法。这个势力不但想证明自己与上帝同等,而且超过上帝。他更改安息的日子,用每周的第一日代替第七日。基督教已经把这个罗马教的产物视为神圣。圣经将之称为淫乱 (启14:8)。--7BC 979 (1900). {LDE 123.2}
§8
God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh, sanctifying this day, and setting it apart from all others as holy to Himself, to be observed by His people throughout their generations. But the man of sin, exalting himself above God, sitting in the temple of God, and showing himself to be God, thought to change times and laws. This power, thinking to prove that it was not only equal to God, but above God, changed the rest day, placing the first day of the week where the seventh should be. And the Protestant world has taken this child of the papacy to be regarded as sacred. In the Word of God this is called her fornication [Revelation 14:8].—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:979 (1900). {LDE 123.2}
§9
在新约的时代,人类幸福的大敌常以第四诫的安息日作为他特别攻击的目标。撒但说:“我要设法阻挠上帝的旨意。我要使跟从我的人有力量去废弃上帝的纪念日——第七日的安息日。这样,我便可向世人表明上帝所分别为圣并赐福的日子已经改变了。人们的脑海中必不再有这一天存在。我要叫人忘掉它。我要拿不带上帝任何凭证的一天,也就是不能作为上帝和祂子民之间的证据的一天,来代替它。我要引领那些接受这日的人,将上帝赐予第七日的神圣性转移到这一天上。”--PK 183, 184 (c. 1914). {LDE 123.3}
§10
During the Christian dispensation the great enemy of man’s happiness has made the Sabbath of the fourth commandment an object of special attack. Satan says, “I will work at cross purposes with God. I will empower my followers to set aside God’s memorial, the seventh-day Sabbath. Thus I will show the world that the day sanctified and blessed by God has been changed. That day shall not live in the minds of the people. I will obliterate the memory of it. I will place in its stead a day that does not bear the credentials of God, a day that cannot be a sign between God and His people. I will lead those who accept this day to place upon it the sanctity that God placed upon the seventh day.”—Prophets and Kings, 183, 184 (c. 1914). {LDE 123.3}
§11
安息日——争论的焦点
§12
The Sabbath the Great Point at Issue
§13
在末世所进行的战争中,一切已经背弃忠于耶和华律法的腐败权势,都要联合起来,敌对上帝的子民。在这场战争中,第四条诫命的安息日,要成为争论的焦点;因为在这条守安息日的诫命中,那位伟大的立法者指明自己为大地的创造者。--3SM 392 (1891). {LDE 124.1}
§14
In the warfare to be waged in the last days there will be united, in opposition to God’s people, all the corrupt powers that have apostatized from allegiance to the law of Jehovah. In this warfare the Sabbath of the fourth commandment will be the great point at issue, for in the Sabbath commandment the great Lawgiver identifies Himself as the Creator of the heavens and the earth.—Selected Messages 3:392 (1891). {LDE 124.1}
§15
“你们务要守我的安息日,”主说,“因为这是你我之间世世代代的证据,使你们知道我耶和华是叫你们成为圣的”(出31:13),一些人要设法在遵守安息日的道路上设置障碍,说:“你不知道安息日是哪一天”。但是当星期日来到时,他们似乎很明白,并显出很大的热心去制定法律,强迫人遵守它。--KC 148 (1900). {LDE 124.2}
§16
“Verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep,” the Lord says, “for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you” (Exodus 31:13). Some will seek to place obstacles in the way of Sabbath observance, saying, “You do not know what day is the Sabbath,” but they seem to understand when Sunday comes, and have manifested great zeal in making laws compelling its observance.—The Kress Collection, 148 (1900). {LDE 124.2}

§21
多年以来,我们已经注意到星期日的律法要在本国执行,而今这种运动已面临着我们了,我们问道:在这件事上本会的人应该做什么呢?……我们尤其是应当求上帝降赐恩典及能力给祂现代的子民。上帝是永活的,我们不相信上帝让我们的自由受拘束的时候已经来到了。{LDE 125.1}
§22
We have been looking many years for a Sunday law to be enacted in our land, and now that the movement is right upon us, we ask, What are our people going to do in the matter? ... We should especially seek God for grace and power to be given His people now. God lives, and we do not believe that the time has fully come when He would have our liberties restricted. {LDE 125.1}
§23
先知见到有“四位天使站在地的四角,执掌地上四方的风,叫风不吹在地上、海上和树上。”另有一位天使,从东方上来,向他们喊叫说“地与海并树木,你们不可伤害,等我们印了我们上帝众仆人的额。”这里指出了我们应作之工,乃是向上帝呼吁,使天使执掌四方的风,直到能派布道士到天涯海角,向违背耶和华律法之人发出警告。--RH 1888年12月11日特刊. {LDE 125.2}
§24
The prophet saw “four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.” Another angel, ascending from the east, cried to them, saying, “Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” This points out the work we now have to do, which is to cry to God for the angels to hold the four winds until missionaries shall be sent to all parts of the world, and shall have proclaimed the warning against disobeying the law of Jehovah.—The Review and Herald Extra, December 11, 1888. {LDE 125.2}
§25
鼓吹星期日法令的人没有认识到他们正在做什么
§26
Sunday-Law Advocates Do Not Realize What They Are Doing
§27
星期日的运动,现正潜滋暗长。领袖们正在掩饰真实的问题,许多参加此种运动的人,亦不自知此股暗流将趋向何方。……他们正在盲目中工作。他们没有看到,如果一个改正教的政府牺牲那已使他们成为一个自由、独立国家的原则,而通过立法,把传播罗马教的谬误和欺骗的原则带进宪法,他们就是在投入黑暗时期罗马教的恐怖中。--RH 1888年12月11日特刊.{LDE 125.3}
§28
The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending.... They are working in blindness. They do not see that if a Protestant government sacrifices the principles that have made them a free, independent nation, and through legislation brings into the Constitution principles that will propagate papal falsehood and papal delusion, they are plunging into the Roman horrors of the Dark Ages.—The Review and Herald Extra, December 11, 1888. {LDE 125.3}
§29
许多的人,甚至那些参加制定星期日休业运动的人也在内,对于这一行动的后果如何,却是茫无所知。他们不明白自己所行的正是直接打击了宗教自由的权利。许多人从未理会圣经上关于安息日的要求,以及星期日制度所根据的虚妄的基础。……{LDE 126.1}
§30
There are many, even of those engaged in this movement for Sunday enforcement, who are blinded to the results which will follow this action. They do not see that they are striking directly against religious liberty. There are many who have never understood the claims of the Bible Sabbath and the false foundation upon which the Sunday institution rests.... {LDE 126.1}
§31
那班尽力要改变“宪法”并设法要强迫人遵守星期日的人,他们还不明白此举的结果是什么。这危机正在我们之前。--5T 711, 753 (1889). {LDE 126.2}
§32
Those who are making an effort to change the Constitution and secure a law enforcing Sunday observance little realize what will be the result. A crisis is just upon us.—Testimonies for the Church 5:711, 753 (1889). {LDE 126.2}
§33
不要静坐不言,什么也不做
§34
Not to Sit in Quietude, Doing Nothing
§35
我们的本分,是应当竭尽能力去防止这预示的危险。……一种重大的责任,现正交给全球各地虔诚祈祷的男女信徒们,应当祈求上帝驱退邪恶凶险之风云,再赏几年恩典的光阴,以便为我主作工。--RH 1888年12月11日特刊. {LDE 126.3}
§36
It is our duty to do all in our power to avert the threatened danger.... A vast responsibility is devolving upon men and women of prayer throughout the land to petition that God may sweep back this cloud of evil, and give a few more years of grace to work for the Master.—The Review and Herald Extra, December 11, 1888. {LDE 126.3}
§37
§38
Those who are now keeping the commandments of God need to bestir themselves that they may obtain the special help which God alone can give them. They should work more earnestly to delay as long as possible the threatened calamity.—The Review and Herald, December 18, 1888. {LDE 126.4}
§39
唯愿遵守上帝诫命的人此时不要沉默,似乎我们是乐意接受现状的。--7BC 975 (1889).{LDE 127.1}
§40
Let not the commandment-keeping people of God be silent at this time as though we gracefully accepted the situation.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:975 (1889). {LDE 127.1}
§41
我们若静坐不言,不采任何行动以保障宗教自由的权力,我们便不是奉行上帝的旨意。应当向天庭发出热切有效的祈祷,使这场灾难可以延缓,直到我们能完成这久被疏忽的工作。应当作恳切的祈祷,然后尽力作工以配合我们的祈祷。--5T 714 (1889). {LDE 127.2}
§42
We are not doing the will of God if we sit in quietude, doing nothing to preserve liberty of conscience. Fervent, effectual prayer should be ascending to heaven that this calamity may be deferred until we can accomplish the work which has so long been neglected. Let there be most earnest prayer and then let us work in harmony with our prayers.—Testimonies for the Church 5:714 (1889). {LDE 127.2}
§43
有许多人处在安逸中,或者说,睡着了。他们说道:“如果预言已经预先告诉我们,强迫人遵守星期日的律法一定会颁布”,他们得出这个结论,于是坐在那里,等候事件的发展,以上帝在艰难时期会保护祂的子民这种思想来安慰自己。但是如果我们毫不努力做祂已托付给我们的工作,上帝就不会拯救我们。……{LDE 127.3}
§44
There are many who are at ease, who are, as it were, asleep. They say, “If prophecy has foretold the enforcement of Sunday observance the law will surely be enacted,” and having come to this conclusion they sit down in a calm expectation of the event, comforting themselves with the thought that God will protect His people in the day of trouble. But God will not save us if we make no effort to do the work He has committed to our charge.... {LDE 127.3}
§45
你们必须作忠心的守望者,应当看出刀剑临近了,要及时发出警告,免得那些假如明白了真理就可以逃脱的男男女女因无知而随波逐流。--RH 1889年12月24日特刊. {LDE 127.4}
§46
As faithful watchmen you should see the sword coming and give the warning, that men and women may not pursue a course through ignorance that they would avoid if they knew the truth.—The Review and Herald Extra, December 24, 1889. {LDE 127.4}
§47
通过笔和投票反对星期日法令
§48
Oppose Sunday Laws by Pen and Vote
§49
那些要利用他们的影响力去压制宗教自由,并起用压迫措施来致使或强迫人们守星期日为安息日的人,我们不能做取悦他们的工作。一周的第一日不应被尊崇。这是伪安息日,而主的家庭的成员不能与那些高举这一日,并践踏上帝的安息日,违犯祂律法的人共事。上帝的子民也不应投票将这等人置于政府机关,因为当他们这样做时,他们便是与这等人在职时所犯的罪有份。--FE 475 (1899). {LDE 127.5}
§50
We cannot labor to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty and to set in operation oppressive measures to lead or compel their fellow men to keep Sunday as the Sabbath. The first day of the week is not a day to be reverenced. It is a spurious sabbath, and the members of the Lord’s family cannot participate with the men who exalt this day and violate the law of God by trampling upon His Sabbath. The people of God are not to vote to place such men in office, for when they do this they are partakers with them of the sins which they commit while in office.—Fundamentals of Christian Education, 475 (1899). {LDE 127.5}
§51
关于这一星期日法令的运动,我希望号角要吹出确定的声音。我认为最好在我们的文献中关于上帝律法之永恒性的主题应成为一个专门的特征。……我们现在应当尽最大努力来挫败星期日法令。--CW 97, 98 (1906). {LDE 128.1}
§52
I do hope that the trumpet will give a certain sound in regard to this Sunday-law movement. I think that it would be best if in our papers the subject of the perpetuity of the law of God were made a specialty.... We should now be doing our very best to defeat this Sunday law.—Counsels to Writers and Editors, 97, 98 (1906). {LDE 128.1}
§53
美国将通过星期日法令
§54
The United States Will Pass a Sunday Law
§55
当我们的国家弃绝其政体的原则,通过星期日的法律时,基督教就必根据这行动而与罗马教握手。--5T 712 (1889). {LDE 128.2}
§56
When our nation shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery.—Testimonies for the Church 5:712 (1889). {LDE 128.2}
§57
基督教界将要以其全部感化力和力量协助罗马教,他们藉全国性的法案强迫遵守伪安息日,赋予罗马的败坏信仰以新的生命与活力,复兴其暴政及压迫良心的权利。--Mar 179 (1893). {LDE 128.3}
§58
Protestants will throw their whole influence and strength on the side of the papacy. By a national act enforcing the false sabbath they will give life and vigor to the corrupt faith of Rome, reviving her tyranny and oppression of conscience.—Maranatha, 179 (1893). {LDE 128.3}
§59
迟早要通过星期日法令。--RH 1905年2月16日. {LDE 128.4}
§60
Sooner or later Sunday laws will be passed.—The Review and Herald, February 16, 1905. {LDE 128.4}
§61
星期日法很快就要执行,位高权重的人会苦毒地反对那一小撮守上帝诫命的人。--4MR 278 (1909). {LDE 129.1}
§62
Soon the Sunday laws will be enforced, and men in positions of trust will be embittered against the little handful of God’s commandment-keeping people.—Manuscript Releases 4:278 (1909). {LDE 129.1}
§63
《启示录》第十三章预言说,两角如同羊羔的兽将要“叫地和住在地上的人”去敬拜罗马教皇——“形状象豹”的兽。……这段预言将要在美国政府强迫人遵守星期日——罗马教所宣称为其最高权力的特别标记——的时候完全应验。……{LDE 129.2}
§64
The prophecy of Revelation 13 declares that the power represented by the beast with lamblike horns shall cause “the earth and them which dwell therein” to worship the papacy—there symbolized by the beast “like unto a leopard”.... This prophecy will be fulfilled when the United States shall enforce Sunday observance, which Rome claims as the special acknowledgment of her supremacy.... {LDE 129.2}
§65
现今政治方面的腐败,正在破坏人们爱护公义和真理的心;所以就是在这爱好自由的美国,官长和议员为要博得众人的欢心起见,将要依从群众的要求,制定一条强迫人遵守星期日的律法。--GC 578,579,592 (1911年) {LDE 129.3}
§66
Political corruption is destroying love of justice and regard for truth, and even in free America rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance.—The Great Controversy, 578, 579, 592 (1911). {LDE 129.3}
§67
鼓吹星期日法令者所持的论据
§68
Arguments Used by Sunday-Law Advocates
§69
撒但肆意讲解所发生的大事,而他们便遵照他的意思,认为这些遍满大地的灾祸,都是违犯星期日的后果。这些有权势的人有意要平息上帝的忿怒,便立法强迫人遵守星期日。--10MR 239 (1899). {LDE 129.4}
§70
Satan puts his interpretation upon events, and they think, as he would have them, that the calamities which fill the land are a result of Sundaybreaking. Thinking to appease the wrath of God these influential men make laws enforcing Sunday observance.—Manuscript Releases 10:239 (1899). {LDE 129.4}
§71
但正是这一等人倒要主张说,世上罪恶之败坏的迅速蔓延,大半是因为众人破坏了他们之所谓 “基督的安息日”,所以说,若能厉行遵守星期日的律法,便可大大改善社会的道德。这种宣传在美国尤为迫切,因为那里也正是真安息日的道理传得最广的地方。--GC 587 (1911年) {LDE 129.5}
§72
This very class put forth the claim that the fast-spreading corruption is largely attributable to the desecration of the so-called “Christian sabbath” and that the enforcement of Sunday observance would greatly improve the morals of society. This claim is especially urged in America, where the doctrine of the true Sabbath has been most widely preached.—The Great Controversy, 587 (1911). {LDE 129.5}
§73
基督教与天主教一致行动
§74
Protestantism and Catholicism Act in Concert
§75
基督教将向罗马的势力伸出友谊的手。将会有一条法律制定出来反对纪念上帝创造的安息日,于是上帝就要在地上施行祂“奇异的事”。--7BC 910 (1886). {LDE 130.1}
§76
Protestantism shall give the hand of fellowship to the Roman power. Then there will be a law against the Sabbath of God’s creation, and then it is that God will do His “strange work” in the earth.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:910 (1886). {LDE 130.1}
§77
我们看不出罗马教怎能洗清自己偶像崇拜的罪责。……对这一宗教,改正教却开始如此青睐,并将最终与之联合。但是,这一联合不会是因着罗马教的改变而实现的,因为罗马教从未改变。她声称绝无错误。是改正教要改变。在改正教这一方面,自由主义思想的采纳,将把它引向与罗马教握手的地步。--RH 1886年6月1日. {LDE 130.2}
§78
How the Roman church can clear herself from the charge of idolatry we cannot see.... And this is the religion which Protestants are beginning to look upon with so much favor, and which will eventually be united with Protestantism. This union will not, however, be effected by a change in Catholicism, for Rome never changes. She claims infallibility. It is Protestantism that will change. The adoption of liberal ideas on its part will bring it where it can clasp the hand of Catholicism.—The Review and Herald, June 1, 1886. {LDE 130.2}
§79
自称的基督教界将与大罪人结盟,同流合污。--7BC 975 (1891). {LDE 130.3}
§80
The professed Protestant world will form a confederacy with the man of sin, and the church and the world will be in corrupt harmony.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:975 (1891). {LDE 130.3}
§81
旧大陆的罗马教和新大陆背道的基督教都要采取一致的行动,去对付那些尊重全部神圣诫命的人。--GC 616 (1911年) {LDE 130.4}
§82
Romanism in the Old World, and apostate Protestantism in the New, will pursue a similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts.—The Great Controversy, 616 (1911). {LDE 130.4}
§83
星期日法令给罗马教光荣
§84
Sunday Laws Honor Rome
§85
何时美国的一些主要基督教会,在他们所有相同的教义上互相联合,那时它们便要运动政府去执行他们的教规,并支持他们的制度;美国的基督教就此为罗马教的教廷作了一个像,结果总不免要向一切反对的人施行法律的制裁。……{LDE 131.1}
§86
When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result.... {LDE 131.1}
§87
基督教会这种强迫人守星期日的运动,乃是一种强迫人敬拜教皇——兽的运动……{LDE 131.2}
§88
The enforcement of Sundaykeeping on the part of Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship of the papacy.... {LDE 131.2}
§89
但各教会既利用政权强迫人遵行宗教的本分,它们便是为“兽”作了一个像;可见在美国所发起强迫人守星期日的运动,也就是一种强迫人拜兽和兽像的运动。--GC 445,448,449 (1911年) {LDE 131.3}
§90
In the very act of enforcing a religious duty by secular power, the churches would themselves form an image to the beast; hence the enforcement of Sundaykeeping in the United States would be an enforcement of the worship of the beast and his image.—The Great Controversy, 445, 448, 449 (1911). {LDE 131.3}
§91
当改正教伸出手来,越过鸿沟,去与罗马教势力握手的时候;当她伸出手来,越过深渊,去与招魂术拉手的时候,在此三面言欢,携手合力的影响之下,我们的国家将弃绝那奠立一个基督新教及共和国政体的宪法之每一原则,并为罗马教异端邪道的推行作各种准备,那时我们就可以知道,撒但要行大奇事的时候已到,末日已临近了。--5T 451 (1885). {LDE 131.4}
§92
When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.—Testimonies for the Church 5:451 (1885). {LDE 131.4}
§93
罗马教将重新夺得她失去的霸权
§94
Rome Will Regain Her Lost Supremacy
§95
当我们临近最后危机的时候,主的机构之间的协调是非常重要的。世界虽然充满骚乱,战争和矛盾,但众人终必在一个首领,即罗马教的势力之下联合起来,反对上帝的见证人,藉以反对上帝。这种联合是在那大叛徒支持下完成的。--7T 182 (1902). {LDE 131.5}
§96
As we approach the last crisis it is of vital moment that harmony and unity exist among the Lord’s instrumentalities. The world is filled with storm and war and variance. Yet under one head—the papal power—the people will unite to oppose God in the person of His witnesses. This union is cemented by the great apostate.—Testimonies for the Church 7:182 (1902). {LDE 131.5}
§97
强迫人遵守星期日为安息日的法令,将致使全国背离政府赖以建立的共和主义原则。罗马教皇的宗教将被统治者们所接受,而上帝的律法将被作废。--7MR 192 (1906). {LDE 132.1}
§98
Laws enforcing the observance of Sunday as the Sabbath will bring about a national apostasy from the principles of republicanism upon which the government has been founded. The religion of the papacy will be accepted by the rulers, and the law of God will be made void.—Manuscript Releases 7:192 (1906). {LDE 132.1}
§99
我们已经看明:知识黑暗的时代是罗马教成功的有利条件。但我们将必看出,知识开通的时代,也有利于罗马教的成功。--4SP 390 (1884). {LDE 132.2}
§100
A day of great intellectual darkness has been shown to be favorable to the success of popery. It will yet be demonstrated that a day of great intellectual light is equally favorable for its success.—The Spirit of Prophecy 4:390 (1884). {LDE 132.2}
§101
现今美国的改正教正在运动国家来支持教会的制度和习俗,这就是步罗马教的后尘。但在实际上,其意义远不止于此,因为他们正是为罗马教开辟道路,使她在改正教的美洲得以恢复她在欧洲所失去的优势。--GC 573 (1911年) {LDE 132.3}
§102
In the movements now in progress in the United States to secure for the institutions and usages of the church the support of the state, Protestants are following in the steps of papists. Nay, more, they are opening the door for the papacy to regain in Protestant America the supremacy which she has lost in the Old World.—The Great Controversy, 573 (1911). {LDE 132.3}
§103
全国性的星期日法令意味着全国性的背道
§104
A National Sunday Law Means National Apostasy
§105
立法委员们为要得到贿赂及拥护,就听从那设立星期日法律的要求。……我们的国家将因发出法令强行天主教的制度,违反上帝的律法而与公义完全脱节。……{LDE 132.4}
§106
To secure popularity and patronage, legislators will yield to the demand for a Sunday law By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness.... {LDE 132.4}
§107
今日基督教之变节对于我们是一个预兆,正如罗马军队的迫近,对于门徒乃是耶路撒冷城即将灭亡的一个预兆一样,表明上帝忍耐的限度已到了尽头。--5T 451 (1885). {LDE 133.1}
§108
As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God’s forbearance is reached.—Testimonies for the Church 5:451 (1885). {LDE 133.1}
§109
我们必须站稳立场,绝不崇敬一周的第一日为安息日,因为它不是耶和华赐福并分别为圣的一日,我们崇敬星期日就是将自己置于那大骗子的一边。……{LDE 133.2}
§110
We must take a firm stand that we will not reverence the first day of the week as the Sabbath, for it is not the day that was blessed and sanctified by Jehovah, and in reverencing Sunday we should place ourselves on the side of the great deceiver {LDE 133.2}
§111
当上帝的律法被废除,背道成为通国的罪时,主会为祂的子民行事。--3SM 388 (1889). {LDE 133.3}

§114
The people of the United States have been a favored people, but when they restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery, the measure of their guilt will be full, and “national apostasy” will be registered in the books of heaven.—The Review and Herald, May 2, 1893. {LDE 133.4}

§116
National Apostasy Will Be Followed by National Ruin

§118
When our nation, in its legislative councils, shall enact laws to bind the consciences of men in regard to their religious privileges, enforcing Sunday observance, and bringing oppressive power to bear against those who keep the seventh-day Sabbath, the law of God will, to all intents and purposes, be made void in our land, and national apostasy will be followed by national ruin.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:977 (1888). {LDE 133.5}
§119
就在这举国背道——按撒但的方针而行——的时候,这个国家的统治者将站在大罪人一边。那时就要恶贯满盈。全国性的背道是全国性的败亡的信号。--2SM 373 (1891). {LDE 134.1}
§120
It is at the time of the national apostasy when, acting on the policy of Satan, the rulers of the land will rank themselves on the side of the man of sin. It is then the measure of guilt is full. The national apostasy is the signal for national ruin.—Selected Messages 2:373 (1891). {LDE 134.1}

§123
各改正教会将要与属世的权力联合,支持那虚伪的宗教,反对他们那曾经历过最严重迫害的先祖们;那时教会与政府的权威将要合力执行天主教的伪安息日。届时将有全国性的离经叛道出现,结果只有全国陷于毁灭。--Ev 235 (1899). {LDE 134.3}
§124
When Protestant churches shall unite with the secular power to sustain a false religion, for opposing which their ancestors endured the fiercest persecution, then will the papal sabbath be enforced by the combined authority of church and state. There will be a national apostasy, which will end only in national ruin.—Evangelism, 235 (1899). {LDE 134.3}
§125
当国家利用自己的权力实行命令支持教会的组织时,新教的美国就为罗马教做了一个像。全国性的背道终必导致国家的毁灭。--7BC 976 (1910). {LDE 134.4}

When the state shall use its power to enforce the decrees and sustain the institutions of the church—then will Protestant America have formed an image to the papacy, and there will be a national apostasy which will end only in national ruin.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:976 (1910). {LDE 134.4}
§127
全世界性的星期日立法
§128
Universal Sunday Legislation
§129
历史将要重演。假宗教将得到高举。每周的第一日原是普通的工作日,不具备任何神圣性,却要象巴比伦的大像被高举。各国各方各民要接到命令敬拜这个伪安息日。……强迫敬拜这个日子的命令将向全世界发出。--7BC 976 (1897). {LDE 134.5}
§130
History will be repeated. False religion will be exalted. The first day of the week, a common working day, possessing no sanctity whatever, will be set up as was the image of Babylon. All nations and tongues and peoples will be commanded to worship this spurious sabbath.... The decree enforcing the worship of this day is to go forth to all the world.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:976 (1897). {LDE 134.5}
§131
那原为信仰自由的美国,一旦要与罗马天主教联合,胁迫人的良心,勉强人尊敬这假安息日,地上各国的人就必效法她的榜样。--6T 18 (1900). {LDE 135.1}
§132
As America, the land of religious liberty, shall unite with the papacy in forcing the conscience and compelling men to honor the false sabbath, the people of every country on the globe will be led to follow her example.—Testimonies for the Church 6:18 (1900). {LDE 135.1}

§137
世界话剧的最后一幕就是以假代真。一旦这种替代成了全世界性的,上帝就必显示祂自己。当人订的法律被高举超过上帝的律法,当世上的强权要力图强迫人遵守七日的第一日时,就该知道上帝行事的日子已经来临。--7BC 980 (1901). {LDE 135.4}
§138
The substitution of the false for the true is the last act in the drama. When this substitution becomes universal God will reveal Himself. When the laws of men are exalted above the laws of God, when the powers of this earth try to force men to keep the first day of the week, know that the time has come for God to work.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:980 (1901). {LDE 135.4}
§139
以假换真是戏剧的最后一幕。当这种替代成为普遍时,上帝就会显示自己。在人的法律被抬举到上帝的律法之上,地上的权势强迫人遵守每周的第一日时,我们就知道上帝工作的时候到了。祂要在威严中起来,震撼大地。--7T 141 (1902). {LDE 135.5}
§140
The substitution of the laws of men for the law of God, the exaltation, by merely human authority, of Sunday in place of the Bible Sabbath, is the last act in the drama. When this substitution becomes universal God will reveal Himself. He will arise in His majesty to shake terribly the earth.—Testimonies for the Church 7:141 (1902). {LDE 135.5}
§141
全世界都将支持星期日的立法
§142
The Whole World Will Support Sunday Legislation
§143
恶人们……声称他们已拥有真理,他们中间也有神迹奇事,又有天使和他们同行共话,他们中间既有大能力,又行出异兆和奇事,还说这就是他们所久已仰望的禧年。全世界都已改变信仰而且都遵守星期日的律法了。--3SM 427, 428 (1884). {LDE 136.1}
§144
The wicked ... declared that they had the truth, that miracles were among them, that angels from heaven talked with them and walked with them, that great power and signs and wonders were performed among them, and that this was the temporal millennium that they had been expecting so long. The whole world was converted and in harmony with the Sunday law.—Selected Messages 3:427, 428 (1884). {LDE 136.1}
§145
全世界的人都要被鼓动起来与安息日复临信徒作对,因为他们不愿藉着尊敬星期日而向罗马教致敬。星期日正是罗马教这个敌基督的势力所设立的制度。--TM 37 (1893). {LDE 136.2}
§146
The whole world is to be stirred with enmity against Seventh-day Adventists because they will not yield homage to the papacy by honoring Sunday, the institution of this antichristian power.—Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 37 (1893). {LDE 136.2}
§147
那些践踏上帝律法的人,要制定人的律法,强迫人接受。人们会想方设法去做他们要做的事。他们说,全世界都守星期日,为什么这群人数如此少的人却不按照这地上的法律行呢?--Ms 163, 1897. {LDE 136.3}
§148
Those who trample upon God’s law make human laws which they will force the people to accept. Men will devise and counsel and plan what they will do. The whole world keeps Sunday, they say, and why should not this people, who are so few in number, do according to the laws of the land?—Manuscript 163, 1897. {LDE 136.3}
§149
争战集中在基督教界
§150
The Controversy Centers in Christendom
§151
所谓的基督教界将要成为上演重大而决定性的几幕的剧场。掌权人要效法罗马教的榜样定立控制良心的法律。巴比伦要使万国喝她邪淫大怒之酒,所有的国家都必受到连累。对于这个时候,《启示录》的作者约翰断言:[引用启18:3-7,17:13-14]。“他们同心合意。”将必有一种全世界性的结合,一种非凡的协调,而为撒但爪牙的联盟。他们要“将自己的能力权柄给那兽。”这样就出现了与那个往时逼迫凡胆敢拒绝不依从罗马教的宗教仪式与礼节之人,同样专断压制的权势,反对宗教自由及凭良心敬拜上帝。--3SM 392 (1891). {LDE 136.4}
§152
The so-called Christian world is to be the theater of great and decisive actions. Men in authority will enact laws controlling the conscience, after the example of the papacy. Babylon will make all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Every nation will be involved. Of this time John the Revelator declares: [Revelation 18:3-7; 17:13, 14, quoted]. “These have one mind.” There will be a universal bond of union, one great harmony, a confederacy of Satan’s forces. “And shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Thus is manifested the same arbitrary, oppressive power against religious liberty—freedom to worship God according to the dictates of conscience—as was manifested by the papacy, when in the past it persecuted those who dared to refuse to conform with the religious rites and ceremonies of Romanism.—Selected Messages 3:392 (1891). {LDE 136.4}
§153
在这场信与不信的大冲突中,整个基督教界都要受到牵连。--RH 1893年2月7日. {LDE 137.1}
§154
In the great conflict between faith and unbelief the whole Christian world will be involved.—The Review and Herald, February 7, 1893. {LDE 137.1}
§155
斗争的结果必使全基督教界分为两大阵营:一边是守上帝诫命和耶稣真道的,另一边则是拜兽和兽像并受他印记的。--GC 450 (1911年) {LDE 137.2
§156
All Christendom will be divided into two great classes—those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and those who worship the beast and his image and receive his mark.—The Great Controversy, 450 (1911). {LDE 137.2}
§157
安息日的问题已经成为全基督教界斗争的焦点。宗教和政治的权威已经联合起来要强迫人去遵守星期日。那时,少数坚决不肯服从群众之要求的人,便要普遍地成为憎恶和咒骂的目标。--GC 615 (1911年) {LDE 137.3}
§158
As the Sabbath has become the special point of controversy throughout Christendom and religious and secular authorities have combined to enforce the observance of the Sunday, the persistent refusal of a small minority to yield to the popular demand will make them objects of universal execration.—The Great Controversy, 615 (1911). {LDE 137.3}
§159
当基督教世界各国的执政者发布命令制裁守诫命的人,声明政府不再保护他们,并任凭那些希望看他们消灭的人肆意蹂躏的时候,上帝的子民便要从各城镇各乡村中,成群结队地迁居到极荒凉的偏僻之处。--GC 626 (1911年) {LDE 138.1}
§160
As the decree issued by the various rulers of Christendom against commandment keepers shall withdraw the protection of government, and abandon them to those who desire their destruction, the people of God will flee from the cities and villages and associate together in companies, dwelling in the most desolate and solitary places.—The Great Controversy, 626 (1911). {LDE 138.1}
§161
不要显示挑衅Show No Defiance
§162
那些组成我们教会的人,拥有品格上的某些特征,如果他们不是很注意的话,这种特征就会致使他们由于自己在星期日工作的权利因着误传被取消,而感到愤慨。不要为这个事情大发雷霆,只要为每件事情祷告上帝。唯独祂能够抑制统治者的权力。不要轻率处事。但愿没有人不明智地自吹他们的自由,借着自由遮盖恶毒,总要作上帝的仆人,“务要尊敬众人,亲爱教中的弟兄,敬畏上帝,尊敬君王。”(彼前2:17) {LDE 138.2}
§163
Those who compose our churches have traits of character that will lead them, if they are not very careful, to feel indignant, because on account of misrepresentation their liberty in regard to working on Sunday is taken away. Do not fly into a passion over this matter but take everything in prayer to God. He alone can restrain the power of rulers. Walk not rashly. Let none boast unwisely of their liberty, using it for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God, “Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king” [1 Peter 2:17]. {LDE 138.2}
§164
这一忠告对凡要陷入困境之人都是有实际价值的。一定不要显示任何挑衅或可能被视为恶毒的东西。--2MR 193, 194 (1898). {LDE 138.3}
§165
This advice is to be of real value to all who are to be brought into strait places. Nothing that shows defiance or that could be interpreted as maliciousness must be shown.—Manuscript Releases 2:193, 194 (1898). {LDE 138.3}
§166
避免在星期日工作
§167
Refrain From Work on Sunday
§168
关于南方地区,[在1880年代和1890年代,星期日法令的强制执行在美国南方各州尤其严厉。请看美国州政府公文(评论与通讯,1943),517-562页。]那里的工作必须尽可能精明谨慎地去做,必须以基督行事的方式去做。人们不久要发现关于星期日和安息日你们相信什么,因为他们要提出问题。那么你可以告诉他们,但是不要以会引起对你的工作注意的那样一种方式。你不必要因着在星期日劳动而提前终止你的工作……{LDE 138.4}
§169
In regard to the Southern field, [Sunday-law enforcement was especially severe in the southern states in the United States in the 1880s and 1890s. See American State Papers (The Review and Herald, 1943, 517-562).] the work there must be done as wisely and carefully as possible, and it must be done in the manner in which Christ would work. The people will soon find out what you believe about Sunday and the Sabbath for they will ask questions. Then you can tell them, but not in such a manner as to attract attention to your work. You need not cut short your work by yourself laboring on Sunday.... {LDE 138.4}
§170
避免在星期日工作并非接受兽的印记……在有些地方,那里如果在星期日做工,反对是如此强烈,以至于引起逼迫,就让我们的弟兄们使那一天成为做真实传教工作的时机。--SW 69, 70 (1895). {LDE 139.1}
§171
Refraining from work on Sunday is not receiving the mark of the beast.... In places where the opposition is so strong as to arouse persecution, if work is done on Sunday, let our brethren make that day an occasion to do genuine missionary work.—The Southern Work, 69, 70 (1895). {LDE 139.1}
§172
如果他们来到这里说:“你们必须在星期日停止你们的工作和你们的印刷,”那么我不会对你们说……“继续印刷工作,”因为这一冲突并不是你与你的上帝之间的冲突。--Ms 163, 1898. {LDE 139.2}
§173
If they should come here and say “You must close up your work and your presses on Sunday,” I would not say to you, ... “Keep your presses going,” because the conflict does not come between you and your God.—Manuscript 163, 1898. {LDE 139.2}
§174
故意在我们那些极端崇拜星期日的邻居面前,在那一天作坚决的努力去从事劳动,来展示一种独立性,通过这样做来激怒他们,我们不应当以为这就是对我们的嘱咐。我们的姐妹们不必选择星期日来摆出她们的洗涤物。--3SM 399 (1889). {LDE 139.3}
§175
We should not feel it enjoined upon us to irritate our neighbors who idolize Sunday by making determined efforts to bring labor on that day before them purposely to exhibit an independence. Our sisters need not select Sunday as the day to exhibit their washing.—Selected Messages 3:399 (1889). {LDE 139.3}
§176
在星期日从事宗教活动
§177
Engage in Spiritual Activities on Sunday
§178
现在我要回答你的问题,就是星期日的法令如果通过,我们应采取什么方针。{LDE 139.4}
§179
I will try to answer your question as to what you should do in the case of Sunday laws being enforced. {LDE 139.4}
§180
早些时候我们也曾见到有出现此危机的可能,当时上帝给我的指示是:如果世人被从下面来的势力所鼓动,要强迫人守星期日,基督复临安息日的人就该见机行事,不在星期日作平常的劳动,而去从事传道工作。{LDE 139.5}
§181
The light given me by the Lord at a time when we were expecting just such a crisis as you seem to be approaching, was that when people were moved by a power from beneath to enforce Sunday observance, Seventh-day Adventists were to show their wisdom by refraining from their ordinary work on that day, devoting it to missionary effort. {LDE 139.5}
§182
宗教狂热之徒既要强制推行星期日的法令,你们的违抗只会加甚他们的逼迫。不要给他们藉口,说你们是犯法的人。……一个人用聪明的方法,采取和平的手段,不做触犯人的事,却同时做着一种最紧要的工作,这并不算是受兽的印记。……{LDE 140.1}
§183
To defy the Sunday laws will but strengthen in their persecution the religious zealots who are seeking to enforce them. Give them no occasion to call you lawbreakers.... One does not receive the mark of the beast because he shows that he realizes the wisdom of keeping the peace by refraining from work that gives offense.... {LDE 140.1}
§184
我们可以用星期日的时间进行多项工作,为主成就很多事。这一天,我们可以举行露天布道和家庭聚会,或者挨家拜访人。擅长写作的人,可利用星期日的时间来写稿子。尽可能在星期日举行礼拜聚会。这些聚会要安排得非常精彩吸引人。唱的诗歌,要振奋人心,讲的道要具有救主之爱的能力和保证。--9T 232, 233 (1909). {LDE 140.2}
§185
Sunday can be used for carrying forward various lines of work that will accomplish much for the Lord. On this day open-air meetings and cottage meetings can be held. House-to-house work can be done. Those who write can devote this day to writing their articles. Whenever it is possible, let religious services be held on Sunday. Make these meetings intensely interesting. Sing genuine revival hymns, and speak with power and assurance of the Saviour’s love.—Testimonies for the Church 9:232, 233 (1909). {LDE 140.2}
§186
带学生到各处开布道会或做医疗布道的工作。这一天人们都在家,正是传扬真道的绝好机会。用这方法度过星期日,是主所喜悦的。--9T 238 (1909). {LDE 140.3}
§187
Take the students out to hold meetings in different places, and to do medical missionary work. They will find the people at home and will have a splendid opportunity to present the truth. This way of spending Sunday is always acceptable to the Lord.—Testimonies for the Church 9:238 (1909). {LDE 140.3}
§188
反对使真理的优美显明
§189
Beauty of Truth Made Apparent by Opposition
§190
当世人和教会联合起来废除上帝的律法时,那些服从主的人的热心将有增无减。对上帝的律法所兴起的每一个反对,都将为真理的进展开路,并使提倡真理的人能够将真理的价值呈现人前。没有什么像逼迫和反对那样,能够使真理的优美和力量如此显然。--13MR 71, 72 (1896). {LDE 140.4}
§191
The zeal of those who obey the Lord will be increased as the world and the church unite in making void the law. Every objection raised against the commandments of God will make way for the advancement of truth and enable its advocates to present its value before men. There is a beauty and force in the truth that nothing can make so apparent as opposition and persecution.—Manuscript Releases 13:71, 72 (1896). {LDE 140.4}
§192
当有这样的努力来强迫人遵守星期日的时候,那正是向世人传讲真安息日以区别于伪安息日的时机。主的旨意远远高过我们。祂已允许星期日的问题被提到显要地位,以便第四诫的安息日可以被呈到立法机构面前。这样可以引起国家的领导者们注意上帝的圣言赞同真安息日的证言。--2MR 197 (1890). {LDE 141.1}
§193
This time, when there is such an effort made to enforce the observance of Sunday, is the very opportunity to present to the world the true Sabbath in contrast to the false. The Lord in His providence is far ahead of us. He has permitted this Sunday question to be pressed to the front that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment may be presented before the legislative assemblies. Thus the leading men of the nation may have their attention called to the testimony of God’s Word in favor of the true Sabbath.—Manuscript Releases 2:197 (1890). {LDE 141.1}
§194
我们应当服从上帝胜于服从人
§195
We Ought to Obey God Rather Than Men
§196
真理的拥护者现在被要求在两者之间作出选择,要么漠视上帝圣言简明的要求,要么丧失自由。如果我们放弃上帝的圣言,而接受人的习俗和遗传,我们就被允许仍然在人间生活,进行买和卖,我们的权利也会得到尊重。但是如果我们继续保持对上帝的忠诚,势必会牺牲我们在人间的各种权利,因为上帝律法的仇敌已经结成同盟,要取缔宗教信仰问题上的自主权,控制人的良心。……{LDE 141.2}
§197
The adherents of truth are now called upon to choose between disregarding a plain requirement of God’s Word or forfeiting their liberty. If we yield the Word of God and accept human customs and traditions, we may still be permitted to live among men, to buy and sell, and have our rights respected. But if we maintain our loyalty to God it must be at the sacrifice of our rights among men, for the enemies of God’s law have leagued together to crush out independent judgment in matters of religious faith and control the consciences of men.... {LDE 141.2}
§198
上帝的子民承认人间政府是神所命定的,并借着规则和榜样教导顺从政府为神圣的义务,只要它在其合法的范围内行使它的权柄。但是当它的要求与上帝的要求相冲突时,我们必须选择顺从上帝而不顺从人。我们必须承认和服从上帝的圣言为高于人类一切法律的权威。不应因“教会或国家如此说”就不顾“耶和华如此说”。应高举基督的冠冕在一切属世君主王权之上。--HM 1893年11月1日. {LDE 142.1}
§199
The people of God will recognize human government as an ordinance of divine appointment and will by precept and example teach obedience to it as a sacred duty so long as its authority is exercised within its legitimate sphere. But when its claims conflict with the claims of God we must choose to obey God rather than men. The Word of God must be recognized and obeyed as an authority above that of all human legislation. “Thus saith the Lord” is not to be set aside for a “Thus saith the church or the state.” The crown of Christ is to be uplifted above all the diadems of earthly potentates.—The Home Missionary, November 1, 1893. {LDE 142.1}
§200
只要人们愿意屈服于撒但的霸权,他就给予他们属世的国度。许多人这样做而牺牲天国。要宁可死也不犯罪;宁可缺乏也不诈骗;宁可饥饿也不说谎。--4T 495 (1880). {LDE 142.2}
§201
Satan offers to men the kingdoms of the world if they will yield to him the supremacy. Many do this and sacrifice heaven. It is better to die than to sin; better to want than to defraud; better to hunger than to lie.—Testimonies for the Church 4:495 (1880). {LDE 142.2}
