§2 He Is Our Saviour, November 4
§4 God Promises His Care
§5 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.?Isaiah 43:11.?{WGD 310.1}[1]
(MH 31)[2]
§7 No self-assertion mingled with His life. The homage which the world gives to position, wealth, or talent, was foreign to the Son of man. None of the means that men employ to win allegiance or command homage did Jesus use. Centuries before His birth it had been prophesied of Him, “He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.”—The Ministry of Healing, 31.?{WGD 310.2}[2]
(COL 388)[3]
§9 It is fellowship with Christ, personal contact with a living Saviour, that enables the mind and heart and soul to triumph over the lower nature. Tell the wanderer of an almighty hand that will hold him up, of an infinite humanity in Christ that pities him.—Christ’s Object Lessons, 388.?{WGD 310.3}[3]
(MH 168)[4]
§11 O, let no word be spoken to cause deeper pain! To the soul weary of a life of sin, but knowing not where to find relief, present the compassionate Saviour. Take him by the hand, lift him up, speak to him words of courage and hope. Help him to grasp the hand of the Saviour.—The Ministry of Healing, 168.?{WGD 310.4}[4]
(DA 403)[5]
§13 There are no barriers which man or Satan can erect but that faith can penetrate. In faith the woman of Phoenicia flung herself against the barriers that had been piled up between Jew and Gentile. Against discouragement, regardless of appearances that might have led her to doubt, she trusted the Saviour’s love. It is thus that Christ desires us to trust in Him. The blessings of salvation are for every soul. Nothing but his own choice can prevent any man from becoming a partaker of the promise in Christ by the gospel.—The Desire of Ages, 403.?{WGD 310.5}[5]
